Tierarztpraxis Bärenwiese

We visited this clinic a few months ago because our dog suddenly developed diarrhea and vomiting. During the consultation, the veterinarian suggested very quickly that the problem might be a food allergy, even before any tests were performed. This surprised us a bit, as we had expected a more thorough examination first. Our dog is usually very calm and cooperative during veterinary visits. During the appointment, however, an intramuscular injection was given and our dog reacted extremely strongly, screaming loudly and panicking in the examination room. This was very distressing for us to witness, especially because he had previously received injections and even undergone surgery without any similar reaction. When we asked about it, the explanation given was that our dog might have had traumatic experiences in the past because he is adopted. Later we checked with the rescue organization and were told there was no known history of such issues. A test was eventually performed after we asked again. At the end of the visit we were also offered a 12-kg bag of hypoallergenic Royal Canin dog food. Overall, we left the clinic feeling somewhat uncertain about the consultation and the diagnosis. Based on this experience, we wouldn’t visit this clinic next time.

Lovely, helpful and understanding staff ❤️ From another practice close to home I got a new pet passport - they messed it up with several errors, which they said I could correct by hand (not advisable!) Bärenwiese issued a new one, carefully made sure it was all correct and also showed relevant vaccinations. I didn’t have to wait long, given it was emergency hours. Thank you to the lovely team 🙏🏻

We had to bring our pet dog for a emergency visit and We called the emergency line which has a english option and they already prepared everything for our arrival. Our dog was treated very well and we were given phone updates as he had to stay 2 nights. The staff are all bilingual and speak english and were very helpful and calming in such a emergency situation. We are very thankful to them and the center!

I am a little late, but wanted to thank Ilona and the whole team for taking such great care of Susi. I have never experienced such an empathetic team, that takes everything into consideration. We came after a failed diagnosis at another praxis. Not only Ilona saved Susi’s life, but she was very understanding and explained every step in a very clear way. Since then, she has made the time for Susi every time we are there. We are very thankful and happy to have such a good praxis!

I brought my dog here during emergency hours after she got into some dark chocolate, and the veterinary team was professional, efficient, and kind. This may have been the easiest and best vet visit we’ve ever had — and it was the emergency room. So grateful for this team and their work!
