A very competent veterinarian. She really takes her time, is always friendly, and you simply feel comfortable. Highly recommended!
A very nice and competent specialist veterinarian for all kinds of animals...
Unfortunately, I have to give Ms. Grund a bad review. She has been our veterinarian for years and has treated all of our guinea pigs, rabbits, and cats. Until recently, we were always satisfied because scheduling appointments was quick and reliable, and she always took the time to examine our animals, even in emergencies or on weekends. Sometimes she was a bit rough, but basically, every problem received a thorough examination and appropriate treatment. Unfortunately, things were different with our 5-year-old cat, Aslan. After my sister and father noticed that he was suddenly getting progressively worse, they took him to Ms. Grund. He apparently had peritonitis and was supposed to be treated with antibiotics. When he didn't improve, they returned to the practice. A blood test was also done, but according to Ms. Grund, "it could be another illness, but that doesn't matter because the medication remains the same." This statement, however, is incorrect. When our cat barely moved, my family thankfully decided to take him to an animal hospital immediately, where he was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). According to the veterinarian, this was easily diagnosed based on the blood test. By that time, more than 300 ml of fluid had already accumulated in Aslan's abdomen. The trip to the animal hospital saved his life, and if he had only received antibiotics, as Ms. Grund recommended, he would have died. When we called Ms. Grund again to tell her that Aslan had FIP, she responded as follows: "I already suspected he had this disease. There's an illegal medication for it, are you aware of that?" The fact that Ms. Grund couldn't make a precise diagnosis and didn't clearly communicate the seriousness of the situation shocked us greatly. Incidentally, our family members subsequently told us about similar negative experiences, which led them to find a new veterinarian. My cousin's cat had drunk antifreeze and was extremely ill. Ms. Grund examined the cat but didn't notice anything unusual. Only after a second examination by another veterinarian was the cause discovered and treated immediately. My aunt's approximately 16-year-old cat was also brought to Ms. Grund because she had an abscess that needed to be surgically removed. Shortly before the surgery was scheduled to begin, Ms. Grund called my aunt again, saying that she could perform the surgery, but that it might be better to have the cat euthanized because she was so old. These experiences unfortunately discourage us from visiting Ms. Grund again, even though we have always been satisfied with her services up until now. We simply don't want to risk our animals' lives any longer.
My animals and I always feel in good hands with Dr. Grund. She is an extremely competent, friendly doctor, always concerned about the animal's well-being, and a top-notch professional. She is very helpful in emergencies and even gives up her free time when there's a fire (even if it's a small one, and in our opinion, a major conflagration), which isn't something to be taken for granted. I take my hat off to such dedication. Thank you on behalf of my animals 🙂 and, of course, all other dogs, cats, and co. 🙂
A very caring and competent doctor. We felt very well cared for and would gladly come again.
