My girlfriend and I went to the emergency vet on Sunday because of an emergency. First, we had to pay €300 for them to find out absolutely nothing, and then the next day, the regular vet told us our cat had a fever of almost 41 degrees Celsius and severe infections that could be fatal. I think it's outrageous to pay such a price only to not even properly examine what was wrong! Worst vet I and my friends have ever been to. Sincerely,
Warning! My cat almost died! I took my cat to Dr. Marhold on a Sunday morning because he wasn't eating, was vomiting, in pain, and barely responsive. The doctor showed neither interest nor expertise; he didn't take his temperature or take any other measures. He palpated his abdomen and coldly told me, "He's just stressed." Yes, this "stress" wasn't the case a day later at my vet, Dr. Luisenthal (who recommended my heart!). He had lumps in his abdomen, a fever over 40°C (104°F), was very weak, and barely conscious. One more day and he would have died, THANKS TO THAT DEAR DR.!!! On top of that, €300 was wasted for absolutely nothing. I then requested a statement via email; at least an explanation or an apology would have been appropriate. My lawyer has already been contacted, and I will ensure that someone investigates the vet's competence. This is unacceptable! I've also contacted Dr. Marhold and will ensure that someone investigates the vet's qualifications. Please don't go there!
We've been patients at this practice for three years now. It's the fourth practice we've tried in the area, and we've stayed here because we're completely satisfied. Both the staff and the vet himself are very patient and understanding, and they simply have a way with their animals.
