Reviews
I'm very happy with the vet. Sure, it's not the most modern practice, and he might come across as a bit gruff, but that's just how he is. He tells it like it is and doesn't try to rip people off. I've been going there for years and have always been satisfied, including with the price—not overpriced, and he doesn't try to sell you unnecessary things. I was there today to have my cat spayed, and it went perfectly. I was given a good explanation, and I think it's great that the vet doesn't overreact. He's a great and very nice vet, even if others say he's unfriendly—he's anything but.
WARNING: Beware of this veterinarian! I strongly advise against visiting this veterinarian. My experience was disastrous and caused us significant emotional and financial hardship. We took our cats there for neutering, and the entire procedure was extremely unprofessional. Without weighing the cats or conducting a preliminary examination, they were immediately put under anesthesia. An hour later, we were given the still-sleeping animals to take home without any pain medication or antibiotics. With other veterinarians, I know that animals must remain for observation after such an operation. Unfortunately, our cats didn't fully wake up from the anesthesia at home, which led to a truly horrific ordeal. This finally ended on Sunday evening in the emergency room of the veterinary clinic. There, our cats had to undergo surgery again. Several veterinarians confirmed that the first operation had been performed poorly and unhygienically. Inflamed tissue had to be removed, and we still don't know if either cat will survive this ordeal. On top of that, we are now facing a mountain of bills. After several phone calls and personal conversations with the unreasonable veterinarian, Mr. Hirz, who had assured us in front of his clients at the practice that he would cover the costs incurred, he called us ten minutes later and said he wouldn't pay anything at all. I am stunned and will never have any of my animals treated there again. A complaint has been filed.
The vet was friendly, but unfortunately, he didn't examine our cat properly. Despite all the described symptoms, he only took his temperature and immediately diagnosed worms. He didn't examine him or check anything else. Two days later, there was no improvement, and we had to go to another vet. After examining him and taking blood samples, this vet diagnosed kidney failure. Sadly, our cat had to suffer for another two days before he could be euthanized. And all because the vet didn't examine him properly. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend him.
