Dr. Dankert is the best! I drive all the way from the city to see her because: - She has an incredible amount of experience. She can tell what's wrong as soon as the dog walks in, and I don't have to explain anything. - You can always come without an appointment. Sometimes you're lucky and get seen right away, sometimes you have to wait a while, but so far, it's never been very long. - I only paid for the medication, which I find really weird. How is she supposed to make a living? She refused my "tip" 🫣 - I love her approach. She always leaves the responsibility to the clients and instead asks, "What's your take on this?" I think that's fantastic. By the way, I had been somewhere else before and had an X-ray with me. After examining my dog, Dr. Dankert said to me, "It's a shame the area that's causing your dog pain isn't shown in the picture." 😑😅 The only downside is that she probably won't be working anymore during the lifetime of my future dogs...

Excellent vet. I'm happy to make the long trip because I know my pet will receive the best possible care there.

I can only give two stars because I didn't get to meet the doctor in person. Since everyone knows me and I'm a critical thinker, I'm sharing my very brief experience with the practice. I'm actually a regular patient, but I can only get an appointment if I get a referral with a sticker on it, and then I have to call a hotline to schedule an appointment. The old practice felt like home; now it's completely sterile, which is rather unsettling. It seems like you only fit in if you're wearing a suit and a gold watch—are there any decorations at all? Not a hint. So now, just like before, you can't get an appointment. And don't forget, as a regular patient, I'm now convinced that appointments in Burgwedel are only given to private patients or those earning exorbitant amounts of money each month. I, for example, am an anxiety patient suffering from severe PTSD and can't leave Burgwedel, so I'm dependent on the doctors here. What do you do to alleviate your worries about your health? Don't go to the doctor and hope everything will be alright. There's not much more I can do, just like it has been for the last seven years with this illness. Just grit your teeth and bear it. Early detection isn't really necessary for little ones anyway. I hope everyone never needs to see a doctor and stays healthy for a long time. And to those who have been hit hard, I wish them a doctor who's old-school and truly cares about their patients. With that in mind, chin up.

I've been a patient of Dr. Dankert since 1998 and can only say that she is an absolutely honest and wonderful veterinarian. Over the years, I've also been to other vets, but in the end, Dr. Dankert has always been right. She's easy to deal with, works without unnecessary extra effort, is always reachable, and she even refers you to a specialist herself if she believes that more can be done there. For me, she's the best, and I'm incredibly grateful for all the care she's given me over the years. I love her direct and honest manner and appreciate it very much. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
