Reviews
We got an appointment for our dog on Monday morning, as he had been very ill during the night. The vet treated him very well and calmly, and he quickly recovered. Thank you so much!
A very wonderful and kind vet, along with his wife and veterinary assistant. He performed emergency surgery on our cat Coffee almost two weeks ago (almost in the middle of the night). If he hadn't done it, our little mouse would no longer be with us. Even though it's his job, we are very grateful to him and his team for what he has accomplished.
I cannot recommend this vet. I've tried twice to make an appointment with my rescue dog, a very anxious dog who's been there for almost two years and isn't used to much. The last time I called, it was an emergency, and they said he had to get on the examination table (which was also supposed to be the case at the first appointment, which is why I refused), otherwise there would be no examination. Seriously? How am I supposed to explain that to the dog? All I can say is "take it or leave it." I went to a different vet, gave the dog some time without having to get on the table, and lo and behold, it worked... that's how you can help a dog overcome its fear of the vet. He might be a good vet, but that's no way to treat an anxious dog, in my opinion. And it wasn't even a crowded vet clinic, as it was 10:00 PM.
I brought my rabbit to Dr. Eggers when, in winter, it suddenly started holding its head tilted, lost its balance while grooming, and fell over. Thanks to Dr. Eggers' accurate diagnosis ("stargazing disease" / encephalitozoonosis), we were able to begin treatment quickly. Together, we got the disease under excellent control. Even though the procedure was very lengthy, I'm glad we didn't give up. Now its head is straight again, and my rabbit is doing well. I've had nothing but positive experiences with the entire team; every member of staff is very helpful, empathetic, and friendly. I'm always so happy to have found such a good and competent practice. And I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Eggers.
We are happy to award 5 stars to the Eggers couple, a veterinarian, and their veterinary assistant, Sibylle Garbe. We have been taking our dogs to this practice for over 15 years. This team is simply fantastic! Very competent, always friendly, and very experienced in dealing with humans and animals, yet professional and yet very empathetic. We find it very pleasant that even diagnoses with far-reaching consequences are discussed openly and honestly with the pet owners. They speak plainly and don't beat around the bush. Our 8-year-old dog, Jette, was in very poor health last spring – she had stopped eating and was constantly vomiting. Based on his decades of experience, Mr. Eggers made the correct suspected diagnosis within a few days: a rare, potentially life-threatening autoimmune disease that, if left untreated, leads to death. Our Jette was put on medication, and since then, she has been doing very well again. She will continue to take these medications for the rest of her life. We have to take them, but without these medications, she would have died last spring! We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the entire team at Eggers Veterinary Practice! Kirsten Fabek and Ralf Vogler
