My horse Khaleda suffered a serious fall on a sandy path during a ride on June 17, 2024. Both of her carpal joints were badly lacerated, and sand had become trapped in the deep wounds. After calling the equine clinic, we were met and expected. Dr. Antonia Jung spent approximately 2.5 hours cleaning the wounds after taking X-rays. Thanks to her meticulousness, no dirt remained in the wounds. A joint capsule leak test came back positive – no damage to the joint capsule! Suturing proved problematic, so Toni placed two stitches to stabilize the gaping wound on the left side. Thick bandages and a splint on the left leg further immobilized the wounds. Honey healing ointment was applied daily after disinfection, during wound checks and bandage changes, and the necessary medications were administered. Khaleda remained tied on a short lead for three weeks. The grooms frequently petted the Arabian mare, and during my daily visits, I noticed how calm and relaxed she was. After three weeks, the splint was removed, Khaleda was allowed to walk around her stall, and I was able to take her for walks. The wounds healed very well. After four weeks, I was able to take Khaleda on vacation to the mountains (no insects, what a relief!). Toni was kind enough to record a video for me showing how to continue the treatment. A week later, I was able to remove the bandages and slowly started riding her again. She's not lame at all and is enjoying romping around in the paddock with her equine friend. I can only praise and highly recommend the Tillysburg Equine Clinic. I would especially like to emphasize the high level of expertise and care shown by Dr. Antonia Jung during the treatment. She is gentle and calm with the horses, and as a horse owner, I always received detailed information. Her patience is fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend her! It is thanks to her that Khaleda is enjoying movement again after such a short time. It is thanks to her that Khaleda is enjoying movement again after such a short time. I have known the Tillysburg horse clinic for a very long time, have been riding for 55 years and am convinced that I have given a professionally correct assessment.

Excellent equine clinic. The nurses are all lovely with the horses and the veterinarians are very competent. I hope my horse won't be a guest at the clinic again anytime soon ;) but I definitely wanted to leave a good review. Highly recommended!

Simply the best horse clinic and the best veterinarians in all of Austria! Upon arrival, I was immediately offered a stall so my mare could recover a bit until her examination began, and she immediately nibbled on the hay. Dr. Franz and Mag. Frick spent hours on the examination and diagnosis. The diagnosis is explained in detail, and if Plan A doesn't work, there's already a Plan B. The X-rays and a comprehensive report are already in my inbox before I've even paid or loaded the horse. From the first to the last second, top-notch service from incredibly friendly and competent people! Always Tillysburg!
