A very friendly and reliable veterinarian. He treated my Quarter Horse gelding for an eye problem. He explained everything very clearly and was very calm and patient. Highly recommended!

Dr. Marco Schwan is an absolutely competent, calm, and approachable veterinarian and an exceptionally skilled surgeon. He stitched the deep wound on my horse's eyelid so professionally that after 18 days, there is hardly any sign of it. I am very glad I consulted him and can highly recommend him.

My Haflinger mare underwent surgery on her left hind fetlock ring ligament and osteochondritis dissecans in January 2025. Unfortunately, she suffered another tendon injury in her left front leg while at the clinic. Since I wasn't satisfied with her condition after 10 months, as she was still lame, I contacted Dr. M. Schwan. After a thorough examination of my mare, the prognosis wasn't very encouraging... but, on Dr. Schwan's recommendation, we changed her shoeing, and after one week, my mare was almost sound. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Marco Schwan. He is very friendly and approachable, and refreshingly honest and realistic in his assessments. You feel taken seriously and in good hands. You immediately sense that his primary concern is helping the horse in the best possible way, rather than sugarcoating anything. Professionally, I consider him one of the few equine veterinarians in our area with truly in-depth knowledge of orthopedics. He performed a very thorough examination of my horse's knee and lameness – including ultrasound, X-rays, and nerve blocks. He works with extreme care and precision, and he really takes the time to get to the root of the problem. In my opinion, he is an excellent choice, especially for orthopedic issues, and I highly recommend him. I also find the price-performance ratio perfectly reasonable – particularly considering the quality, thoroughness, and expertise you receive. I was completely satisfied.

Dr. Schwan had to remove one of our pony's eyes. We were very impressed with the initial examination, consultation, answers to all our questions, and the way he handled our mare. The procedure was performed on-site, which was a considerable relief for us.
