Custom-made saddle completely unsuitable, lack of cooperation/customer service - The custom-made saddle, costing €4600, was absolutely unsuitable for my horse. The saddler who came for the initial measurements was very friendly and seemed highly competent. She performed an Equiscan scan on my horse. Unfortunately, the saddle was completely unsuitable. It slipped forward excessively and was unrideable. As a solution-oriented horse person, I first sought a second opinion and tried a different saddle pad and girth. This meant I missed the return deadline. The owner offered to send another saddler (travel and Equiscan at my expense!) for a remeasurement. If my horse's fit hadn't changed, he would then adjust it; otherwise, I would have to pay for that myself as well. Since my experience had completely destroyed my trust in the company, and I had already spent a considerable amount of money on the measurements and travel, I refused to pay another euro to them. I truly expected more customer service and cooperation! After all, it was a very expensive custom-made saddle. I had to sell the new saddle used, at a significant loss. I lost a lot of money and have now bought a perfectly fitting new custom-made saddle from another company. It's an absolute nightmare when you've saved up for a long time and your old off-the-rack saddle fit better than a €4600 custom-made one.

I was able to take Mr. Stodulka's "Fitting the Saddle" course and came away with so many new insights. I was particularly excited to learn how hard saddles can sometimes put pressure on acupuncture points – it opened my eyes to a whole new world. I also took part in the "Riding Horses Healthy" course with my rehabilitation horse. It was incredibly rewarding to see how many helpful approaches we were able to take with us for our journey together. My horse moved really well during the course, and that touched and motivated me deeply. Both courses were truly enriching for us – both professionally and emotionally.
