Reviews
We visited Dr. Nickoleit for the first time yesterday and are absolutely thrilled. We finally know what's wrong with our Finchen. The doctor spent two and a half hours with us... just for us. What other vet does that? He's genuinely interested in your dog. His relaxed manner makes you feel truly taken seriously for the first time. Our dog has a torn cruciate ligament and a damaged meniscus. We'd already been to a veterinary clinic where they charged us €2,000 and didn't find anything. Unbelievable, but true. And Dr. Nickoleit takes X-rays and knows immediately what's going on. So... 10 stars 🌟
A veterinarian who takes his time, explains everything thoroughly, and gives helpful tips. I can wholeheartedly recommend him and his staff.
Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this practice. After my visit with my dog for a PRP injection, I was left with significant doubts about the professional and interpersonal competence of the staff. During the treatment, I found the tone towards me to be very brusque and lacking in empathy, especially when I expressed my concerns about the anesthesia. I am particularly critical of the diagnostic process: diagnoses were made that greatly worried us. However, a subsequent second opinion could not confirm these findings. A significantly less serious cause was identified. Furthermore, I found the communication regarding costs to be opaque. A price increase demanded afterward was not explained in a way that I could understand. In the end, we stuck with the original amount agreed upon during the initial consultation. Due to these discrepancies and the distressing treatment I experienced, we decided to continue the treatment elsewhere. As a small addition to your comment. Since I am familiar with the procedure of a PRP injection, and was at the time, I had a blood test done by my dog's vet before the procedure and presented it to them.
My dog had surgery there and has been completely pain-free ever since, walking perfectly again. Dr. Nikolait is a very calm person with a lot of patience for all the owner's questions. He doesn't make empty promises, and his wife is also very warm and welcoming to both dogs and people. We felt more than well cared for and would go back anytime. Absolutely top-notch!
Today my Anny is celebrating her 12th birthday! She was gilded over 11 years ago by you when you were still at Gut Windeby in Schleswig-Holstein. Anny has had severe hip dysplasia and arthritis since she was a puppy. She's still walking without pain medication. I am incredibly grateful ❤❤❤
