A friendly and reliable veterinarian who is always immediately available for our horses and has always treated them superbly. Without his dedicated service, our Manolito wouldn't be here today. He's always there to help and advise. For us, he's the best veterinarian and will remain so as long as we have horses. Thank you, Christoph Hilmer!

A very empathetic and friendly veterinarian. Dr. Hilmer has been our equine vet for over nine years. He just last week did the teeth of our three horses. As always, he handled the horses very calmly, and there were no problems. Dr. Hilmer has been to our house a few times now, both in the evenings and on weekends, because one of our horses wasn't feeling well (colic). This has become very, very rare, and we are grateful that Dr. Hilmer came. I really can't understand some of the negative reviews. You can always talk to Dr. Hilmer and his team. He always gives his best, and you can rely on him. It's understandable that Dr. Hilmer can't see every patient 24/7. No one can perform miracles! He has to sleep sometime, too. So, we can only say positive things about Dr. Hilmer and hope that he continues to practice his profession for a long time to come. So, we can only say positive things about Dr. Hilmer and hope that he continues to practice for many years to come. He is our trusted veterinarian 🐎👍

I moved to Bogen and had to find a new vet for my horses. After my mare became extremely lame, I contacted Dr. Hilmer's practice. Dr. Hilmer came, and I'm absolutely thrilled. I've rarely encountered such a kind, calm, and professional vet. I can wholeheartedly recommend this practice. He even gave me some advice regarding farriers, which he didn't have to do. And he took the time to address our concerns. I'm so glad to have found such a wonderful vet. You feel very well cared for and comfortable there. Thank you so much. The woman on the phone was also very friendly and helpful. I know that all of this isn't always a given.

On Monday, October 14th, my horse had to be euthanized. My usual vet was unavailable due to another emergency and was about 1.5 hours away. So I called Dr. Hilmer, explaining the situation and its urgency. But this arrogant and lazy man simply stated that he was on his lunch break, that we had our own vet (who moved out at the beginning of October), and that we weren't even on his books. Definitely 0 stars! Every butcher and farmer understands more about animal welfare! I wouldn't even let my hamster be treated here!!

Yesterday I called the practice because of an emergency. My 33-year-old mare had fallen and was in terrible pain. I asked them to send a vet to euthanize her. The response I received was that it was Friday after noon and I should go to the animal hospital. I told the nice lady on the phone that my mare was dying and the animal hospital wasn't an option (over an hour's drive). She simply said the vet was no longer available. Dr. Hilmer has been to our practice before, and I have nothing negative to say about him. They offer excellent seminars for staff on customer service. I would highly recommend these seminars to the practice; this wasn't the first unpleasant phone call I've had with them.
