Tierarztpraxis Dr. med. vet. Laura Oelker

We had to use the emergency veterinary service. We got an appointment very quickly (on Saturday). Dr. Oelker came to our home; she was very friendly, competent, and wonderful with our cat (and with us). We highly recommend her.

Today I had a long telephone consultation with Dr. Oelker regarding my sick cat, to get a second opinion and perhaps some ideas that no other veterinarian had considered. Dr. Oelker has a sensitive, warm, and empathetic manner and impressed me with her expertise, great ideas, and explanations that were easy for a layperson like myself to understand. I was able to ask question after question without feeling rushed. After the conversation, I felt much better than before, especially because of the new ideas and insights, and I will try to implement the tips and advice with my cat. So far, no other veterinarian has considered the (incidental) diagnosis that his behavior could also be contributing to his arthritis and that this could be the cause of his pain. Dr. Oelker is an incredibly empathetic veterinarian who accompanied us and our last two pets (dog and cat) on their final journey. And she always came to our home, which is such a relief, especially for older animals. No more stress in unfamiliar surroundings. We can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Oelker! If we ever adopt another pet, she will definitely be our vet again. Until then, we wish her all the best and would like to express our sincere gratitude once again!

I contacted Dr. Oelker because my 17-year-old cat was receiving palliative care at home. I want to say that I have never experienced such an empathetic, honest, and loving veterinarian. A huge thank you for her constant availability and support. Ultimately, I had to say goodbye to my cat, and even then, Dr. Oelker took a great deal of time, explained everything to us in detail, and provided truly compassionate support. I wish every pet owner and their pet could have such a sensitive veterinarian should they ever have to say goodbye.
