Reviews
I felt very well taken care of with my dog. Everything was explained perfectly.
I just checked the opening hours and am shocked by the reviews here. I don't think there's a lack of empathy here, neither on the part of the vet nor her team; quite the opposite. There's so much empathy for the animals here that it might sometimes be difficult for a vet to witness actions being taken far too late. We've been going here for years and are satisfied. I have a lot of trust and get along well with the vet and her team; I find them friendly, and everyone has their own personality. You can go to this practice without hesitation. Prices have gone up at all veterinary clinics.
Unfortunately, I have to give one star!!! I'll keep it short. We unfortunately had to go to this impossible, unfriendly, indifferent vet on a Sunday, who was incapable of conversing with strangers in a proper way. Our cat wasn't in the best condition, but to be so abusive was unacceptable. What bothered me most, however, was how my cat Paula was treated. Honestly, Dr. Maute, what did she do to deserve such rough treatment? She was so scared. It was simply unacceptable, and then to have them refuse to see us because they just couldn't be bothered to stitch her up. As a result, we had to take Paula back to the vet on Tuesday after calling the area again because of a prolapsed intestine. Her practice didn't have time, even though it was an emergency!!! Luckily, we then went to the clinic in Otterndorf and explained everything. They were very impressed with her 🤢. I wanted to keep it short 😒 but apparently that wasn't possible. But ultimately, I will not tolerate this behavior and will report her. I have never met such a frustrated woman. I have to work on Sundays myself sometimes; if I treated my customers like that, the business would go bankrupt!
With several dogs and cats, we've had a lot of experience with veterinary visits over the years. For the past few years, we've been taking our animals to Dr. Maute, and we truly appreciate her as a veterinarian. During this time, she has also supported us through difficult situations, such as when several of our cats were poisoned with rat poison or when one of our dogs suffered an eye injury. She has always been calm, competent, and shown a special sensitivity towards our animals. Dr. Maute takes her time, examines thoroughly, and makes clear diagnoses. You can immediately tell that she doesn't just follow a standard procedure, but considers each animal individually. We greatly appreciate her honesty and the fact that the animals' well-being is always her top priority. She also shares her knowledge and wealth of experience with us, so we as pet owners have learned a great deal ourselves, for example, about managing allergies in some of our animals. Thanks to her support, several of our animals have successfully overcome critical situations. We are truly grateful to her for that. You can tell that Dr. Maute... Dr. Maute practices her profession with great responsibility, experience, and genuine love for animals. Such a veterinarian is not a given these days. We are very happy to have Dr. Maute on our team.
I don't understand many of these negative comments. Dr. Maute is honest and doesn't sugarcoat the animal's condition. Today, on Christmas Day, we had to have our 19-year-old cat Flo put down after medication and a steady, but ultimately rapid, decline. I was absolutely devastated and experienced a great deal of empathy from Dr. Maute and her kind assistant. I prefer to hear an honest and competent assessment rather than let my beloved pet continue to suffer. Thank you so much for taking the time for us on such short notice.
