We sought a second opinion because our vet had unfortunately reached the limits of what we could do for our cat. We were contacted almost immediately, with initial questions, and the vets are even available on Sundays. The phone call went really well, and we felt like they were truly listening to us. The report with treatment recommendations arrived just two hours after the call. Now we're hoping our little one will be feeling better soon. Thank you again!

Now that some time has passed, we would like to express our deepest gratitude. The loss of our beloved Ridgeback (16 months old) was a devastating blow for us. When we had just moved to Portugal and our dog became very, very ill, we desperately searched for help and visited almost every clinic in the Algarve – unfortunately, without success. No one could help us. In our desperation, we contacted LMU Munich. On the recommendation of LMU, we finally came to Dr. Stengel – a true stroke of luck. She dedicated herself to our dog with extraordinary commitment and great expertise, maintained close contact with the senior veterinarian at the clinic in Loulé, and was always available for us. Her dedication went far beyond the call of duty. Even though our dog ultimately lost his battle, we are incredibly grateful to Dr. Stengel for her sincere, expert, and heartfelt support. In complex cases, we would confidently turn to her again without hesitation. Looking back, we are convinced that our dog might still be alive today if we had contacted her sooner. I would give 10 stars if I could! 💞 Our dog was diagnosed with Cushing's disease four years ago. The road to diagnosis wasn't actually that long, but... our local vet wasn't very familiar with the condition and referred us to other specialists. We were in good hands there, but... his medication wasn't perfectly adjusted (his fur wasn't growing back, etc.). Sometimes Facebook and its groups are actually useful. I kept seeing Dr. Stengel's name in the MC group. Last year, I contacted him (I should also mention Ms. Strobel here – she was great, friendly, and quick to respond). We had an initial phone consultation (a detailed medical history interview and some exercises for us to do at home). The dosage was increased many times over (our local vet said, "I would never have done that"), and we had an MRI at the veterinary university, etc. At first glance, our dog seems like a healthy dachshund again. It's so wonderful to see his zest for life return. ... Last week we had a minor setback. I contacted Dr. Stengel and discussed the necessary steps. They are now being implemented. He's eating well, playing, and going for long walks. Dr. Stengel always provides me with emotional support and alleviates my fears and worries. After our phone calls, my heart always feels a little lighter. It's a shame the practice is so far away; otherwise, I would definitely see her in person. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Stengel to everyone! 💖
