We've been taking our horses, zebus, dogs, and cats to Dr. H. Blüthner for over 20 years. I can only say good things about the treatments. He's a very, very good veterinarian.
Best Service in Town
After being a patient of my former vet for over 30 years (I retired) and never having any problems, I switched to Dr. Blüthner in 2021 and was always satisfied with his work. Yesterday, I took my cat, who had a cold, to him. Dr. Blüthner gave him two injections and prescribed a paste for the cold. Once everything was done, I went to reception to pick up the bill. I know that some people's payment habits aren't the best... But... what I experienced there was absolutely outrageous! I was told, in a totally rude and unfriendly manner, that they only accept cash or card payments. I said, "Sorry, I didn't know that (I usually pay in cash whenever possible), nor do I have that much cash on me or in my account." I added that I would transfer the money next Monday, March 2nd, 2026. Then this nice lady said, "Cash or card payment... Otherwise, I won't get the medication for my sick cat!" Unfortunately, I had to leave without my medication because my payment won't arrive in my account for another 5 days! That's what I call true animal love 👍 It would really be helpful to put up a large sign at reception so customers are informed that only cash or card payments are accepted... Then the entire examination could be dispensed with. Otherwise, I would give Dr. Blüthner full marks!
My dog was practically killed by all the injections she was given. It wasn't until she had to have emergency surgery that she suffered cardiac arrest due to the strong medication!
