The Auwald Horse Center is highly recommended! The entire team is incredibly friendly, empathetic, and takes the time to care for both horse and owner. I'd especially like to highlight Dr. Stechele, who is dedicated to finding the best solution even in tricky cases and explains everything clearly. The horses' accommodations are also first-class: The stalls are bright, clean, and spacious, so the horses feel completely at home even in unfamiliar surroundings. Visiting hours are very horse- and owner-friendly—you have plenty of opportunity to see your horse and see for yourself how the healing process is progressing. Even if you're not able to be there in person, the clinic calls owners daily to update them on the patient's progress. Aftercare at the clinic or at the owner's home stable is also extremely well-organized. You can tell that the horse's well-being is their top priority!

I took my horse to the clinic twice this year for constipation colic. The horse's care was first-class, the team is incredibly competent and dedicated. 100% monitoring is provided around the clock for critical patients. You're always informed in the morning how your horse is doing, how the night went, etc. Since my horse didn't have a stable, he was led a lot, lunged, and allowed out in the paddock. During his second inpatient stay for the same reason, a very thorough diagnostic examination was performed to get to the bottom of the cause. Something was found, is being treated, and my horse has been symptom-free for two months. I can truly recommend the clinic; you feel very well looked after here. Very, very good professionally, the veterinary assistants are also understanding when, as an owner, you sometimes cry with worry. :) At this point, I'd like to say a big thank you again for the excellent care!

We had several pre-purchase examinations done until we found the right horse. We also had a hock injury and teeth repaired, as well as vaccinations and routine checkups. We were always completely satisfied and felt well looked after and advised.
