Terrible experience — completely lacking empathy or understanding I took my 14.5-year-old golden retriever to this dog therapist, hoping for support and care. Instead, I was met with a shocking lack of compassion. My dog has severe elbow dysplasia and degenerative spine issues — he can barely stand for a few minutes at a time, let alone walk comfortably. Despite explaining this clearly, the therapist made him stand for 20 minutes during the initial examination, on a small table. This is more standing than he does in an ENTIRE day. I ended up having to carry him outside because she wanted to observe him walking. It was painful and stressful — for both of us. This is not how elderly or disabled dogs should be treated. It is the therapist’s job to adapt to the patient’s condition, not to force the animal to meet an arbitrary expectation. I left and will never return. It’s frustrating when someone who just met my dog thinks they know him better than I do. I’ve cared for him since he was 6 months old—managing his elbow dysplasia and spending thousands on his care. He didn’t make it to 14.5 just by luck. If you have a senior or mobility-impaired dog, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Compassion and flexibility should be non-negotiable in this profession — and sadly, they were completely missing here.
Thank you so much for the quick appointment and the excellent treatment. Dr. Fixl was very empathetic and competent. Thank you so much. Sincerely, the Schätz & Eo Family
I regularly visit my elderly dog, who previously suffered from a herniated disc and often has back pain and a slight difficulty walking, for physiotherapy (laser therapy and underwater treadmill). Her gait, fitness, and back pain have improved significantly. The entire team is highly professional, competent, and friendly, and our needs are always met very well. I can wholeheartedly recommend this practice – one of the most competent addresses for physical medicine and rehabilitation in Vienna!
I am always very satisfied. My dog is never as calm and relaxed with anyone as she is with Dr. Bettina Prickler. She radiates such incredible tranquility. I can highly recommend her!
A wonderful practice with a fantastic team. I came to the vet with the request to have my two female dogs undergo an age-related check-up in the form of an ultrasound. A dear friend recommended Dr. Rieder, a veterinarian. I got an appointment very quickly, and the examination was very relaxed. Although my dog doesn't like being held down when she has to lie still on her back during an examination, everyone remained calm and relaxed to make it as comfortable as possible for her. In the end, my dog was diagnosed with a splenic tumor. Everything was explained to me in detail about the next steps. I received a referral for surgery to have the splenic tumor and spleen removed as soon as possible. Two weeks have now passed. The spleen is out. The tumor is out and has been sent for analysis. Fortunately, it was benign. It was a very close call, and the tumor would have ruptured. Thanks to the Canimotion team and their clear explanations, I wasn't afraid of the surgery and felt very well cared for during the diagnostic process. I can absolutely recommend Canimotion. My second dog even fell asleep during the ultrasound because the atmosphere was so relaxed. So, 5 stars for the whole team! Kisses from Kenya, the number one screamer. 🙂
