Reviews
Ms. Lux is very gentle and kind with my cat. She only performs examinations that don't overwhelm the animal. Ms. Lux explains the findings thoroughly and tells me what the next steps are. I can wholeheartedly recommend this practice. 😀
A quick preface: the vet's assistant was absolutely fantastic! She was friendly, listened, and open with my daughter. Unfortunately, none of this was conveyed to me by the vet during my appointment. The fact that we have a child and a dog was met with a sense of shock. The fact that my daughter briefly petted our dog once was immediately criticized. We took our 5-month-old puppy to the vet for the first time. Naturally, he was unsure of the situation, tucked his tail between his legs, and tended to be a bit restless. The actual treatment (a quick look in his mouth and scanning the chip—nothing more) took a maximum of a few minutes. During this time, our dog showed uncertainty but was by no means aggressive. He didn't growl, bark, or display any other threatening behavior. For his very first visit to the vet, I'm happy with his behavior; he was even able to lie down in the waiting room. Before coming to us, he had never had the chance to meet people or be in situations like this. After a brief conversation, I was dismissed with the words that our dog was extremely scared and exhibiting behavioral problems that would lead to future problems. This was unexpected and I find absolutely unjustified. After seeing the dog for a maximum of 10 minutes (in a completely new situation and unfamiliar surroundings with many impressions), can one judge the dog like that? Besides, I was hoping for something more at the initial consultation than just criticizing everything and taking a quick look in its mouth. To be honest, I didn't receive any information about whether the dog was doing well or whether there was anything unusual (apart from its "behavior"). All in all, I left the practice rather disappointed.
In principle, I was satisfied. Everything was straightforward and friendly. However, I believe that homeopathic remedies should not be administered as a matter of course. Homeopathy is demonstrably nonsense. Through hocus-pocus, active ingredients are supposed to be magically transferred to a carrier medium (water or sugar) that the basic substance itself doesn't possess. Within the framework of religious freedom, one is of course free to believe in it and offer it to people who want it. But it shouldn't be treated like real medicine. If antibiotics aren't necessary, it's better not to administer any remedy at all than to administer water, which has as much in common with medicine as a mud cake has with a pastry shop.
