The best, kindest, and most competent veterinarian I have ever seen. We, or rather our animals, have been patients of Dr. Hickmann for over 15 years.

Actually a very nice vet, but unfortunately not suitable for rabbits. We took our rabbit there (refusing food, lethargic, and generally very weak). The vet gave her deworming medication, antibiotics, and an enema. The next day, the rabbit was very ill (seizures and very weak breathing), and at another vet, our Molli had to be euthanized after her struggle. There, we also learned that an enema is completely ineffective, and deworming medication is just as useless. An X-ray should have been done for a proper diagnosis, instead of just trying random things. In the case of a likely stomach overload, the only thing that helps is administering a little oil orally to stimulate digestion. An enema is more likely to have the opposite effect. RIP Molli 🐰
