The young doctor held an extra appointment for me and my two dogs on Friday evening. We've been battling an ear infection for a long time that had spread from the outside to the inner ear. Furthermore, the advice regarding tick prevention tablets was very fair. There's now a preparation available that can be administered by injection. It only requires a third of the active ingredient, which is much gentler on the animal's system. It's also effective for 12 months, so there are no gaps in coverage. While the pharmaceutical industry does add a few percent to the price, that's not the vet's fault. The medication was sold at the practice at a very reasonable price, without any markups, especially compared to the prices you find online at pharmacies in Germany, for example.
