Unfortunately, in my opinion, he wasn't a good vet. He may be very competent technically, but my concerns about my cat weren't taken seriously. I was told that my cat simply couldn't tolerate/needed the kitten food anymore and that it needed to be changed. My request for a blood test was refused. So I went to another vet, who then told me that my cat had FIP.
As a veterinarian, you should be able to handle anxious cats. After all, they're animals; you never know how they'll react. He sent us home in the most unfriendly manner and didn't even bother to examine her, even though I was genuinely worried. Completely unempathetic. I wasted an hour waiting. All I heard was, "I'm not going to touch her anyway." I've never experienced anything like it. I highly recommend other veterinarians!
I cannot recommend this veterinarian. We took our young pet to his annual check-up every year, and he only received an injection and a deworming tablet. After a blood test a few months ago, we received the devastating result that one value was already far above the normal range. The practice lacks the necessary equipment, such as an X-ray and ultrasound machine, which would be essential for an accurate diagnosis. His health deteriorated so rapidly that not even another veterinarian or intensive care at the animal hospital could save our pet. Dr. Machold showed little compassion during our visits, even though our furry friend was so seriously ill.
I recommend the doctor. We had an appointment today and the doctor cleaned my cat's teeth very well. We are very pleased.
After about 5 minutes, I was seen. I was the only "guest." The first thing I said was that I was only there with a few questions, and that I didn't need anything else because it was our first time at this vet. The nice vet then said, quote: "Goodbye, I don't need that kind of fuss here." My dog barked briefly when he saw the vet. What kind of greeting is that? He's a dog, he barks sometimes. Very, very rude. Competence? I have no idea. Because we were supposed to leave if the dog was okay... I wouldn't say anything if there were 10 patients, but I was the only one there... he wasn't stressed, he could have taken 10 seconds. But his communication was unfortunately misused...
