As a newcomer to the area with a large, sensitive dog, I visited Dr. Reißig in Ottenstein for the first time today. First off, I absolutely cannot understand or confirm the previous review. Exaggerated and unbelievable! I was greeted warmly this morning and asked to wear my face mask. Dr. Reißig even explained his request, and it was perfectly understandable why he felt it was important. I received thorough information regarding the legal documentation in the vaccination record – exemplary. His handling of my dog ​​was very sensitive, and my usually cautious and reserved dog quickly gained confidence. The actual treatment was quick and relaxed. The price-performance ratio is absolutely unbeatable. By far the best I've experienced in my 35 years as a dog owner. Dear Dr. Reißig, please stay healthy. A veterinarian by vocation, he could certainly retire at almost 80, but no, he loves his work. Always available and ready to help. P.S. The fear of COVID was ever-present, especially for someone in a high-risk group!

Yesterday, December 6th, 2025, we took our dog Sparkle to Dr. Reissig for an emergency. Although he wasn't on call, he told us on the phone that we could still come in. He took his time with us and our dog, examined him thoroughly, and thankfully was able to help us. Today we went back for a follow-up appointment, and he gave our dog another injection of homeopathic remedies. Since then, our four-legged friend has been doing wonderfully. He was initially reluctant to accept payment, but we showed our appreciation and compensated him accordingly for his efforts yesterday and today. All in all, we highly recommend Dr. Reissig and would take our dog to him again anytime.

The best and most competent vet in the area. I'm thrilled; she clearly prioritizes animal welfare, and the prices are reasonable—not overpriced like some others. Simply perfect! And she knows her stuff. 😌❤️
