For 11 years, we have been patients/clients of the equine veterinary practice. Throughout all these years, and with every problem we've had, Dr. Hörmann and his team have provided us with excellent treatment and advice. Whether it's laminitis, lameness, kissing spines, vaccinations, or simply the annual dental check-up, or even just a kind word, someone is always available and arrives promptly. The price-performance ratio is fair; treatments or medications that may initially seem more expensive than at other veterinarians are completely justified by the quality of care and service provided. What I would particularly like to emphasize is how they handle the horse, and of course the owner 😉, as my mare isn't always "vet-friendly." We've never had any problems here, and they always take the horse's individual personality into account.

The team is also very helpful. A great clinic with a pleasant atmosphere. The long journey was definitely worth it! Highly recommended.

Mr. Hörmann is an extremely reliable (quick appointments, very fast responses, seemingly always available) and competent veterinarian. He also listens to the owner and considers their approach. Owners are often in a highly stressful situation when their animal is ill. With his open, honest, yet calming manner, he quickly manages to bring you back down to earth. This, of course, also has a positive effect on the animals. My mare was able to have her x-rays done without sedation for the first time and behaved well during his visits – which wasn't always the case before. After the appointments, I never have to research the exact diagnosis because it's explained to me clearly. If I don't understand something, I can always ask. I am very grateful to Mr. Hörmann!

Mr. Hörmann operated on my mare for kissing spines in six locations in August 2024. During the initial consultation, he advised me on the procedure, risks, chances of success, and costs. My mare received excellent care during her stay, and I was kept constantly informed. We were given a post-operative plan, and Mr. Hörmann was always available to answer any questions. Before the surgery, riding her involved stiffness, an inability to canter, and constant kicking. A little over a year after the operation, my mare is competing in her first shows, something that was unthinkable before. It's incomparable to riding her before the surgery. I would gladly make the long journey of over 450 km again and thank Mr. Hörmann and his entire team.

I can only echo the reviews. When my horse was initially reluctant to be treated, Mr. Hörmann remained calm and patient; you can tell that the animal's well-being is very important to him. He also involves the owners in the treatment and manages to put them at ease. Mr. Hörmann comes across as extremely competent, and I greatly appreciate his objective approach. I also found the staff to be very friendly and supportive. Appointments can be easily arranged via WhatsApp, and the time management is excellent.
