Extremely unfriendly "lady" on the phone. I bought a Maine Coon cat four months ago. His breeder takes her cats and kittens to Dr. Erdweg's practice. The most unfriendly of all the staff members told me on the phone that they weren't accepting new patients. I told the "lady" that my cat IS a patient of Dr. Erdweg's and was there as a kitten for vaccinations and microchipping. The "lady" then said that I'm not a patient there...??? No way, I'M NOT AN ANIMAL, and of course I'm a patient of a human doctor!!! Other practices want to make money, so now we're going to a different vet for neutering. Whether Dr. Erdweg is a good doctor, I obviously can't judge, but her staff member is incredibly unfriendly on the phone!!! Absolutely unacceptable!!!!

According to the practice staff, this is a large animal practice. Please note: a woman with a dog was standing next to me. A second woman followed with a dog. It states everywhere that small animals are treated. It's unfortunate that there isn't honest communication and that animals aren't helped. Unfortunately, I have to give it one star to be able to write a review. In fact, we wouldn't bring our animals here, even in an emergency. I've been lied to once now, and that alone is unacceptable. I can't judge whether the practicing doctor is competent or not. I haven't had any experience with that. However, the staff is more than questionable.

I would not recommend this practice to any animal lover. Last week, we spontaneously took our dog to a walk-in clinic because he had stopped eating and drinking and was clearly in severe pain (it was the nearest clinic and the only one open at the time). Upon arrival, the veterinary assistant asked if we were already patients, which we denied. However, we explicitly explained that we needed urgent medical attention because our dog had deteriorated significantly overnight, vomited repeatedly, and cried out in pain. The assistant told us she would briefly speak with the on-call veterinarian, as Dr. Erdweg herself was unavailable. After a very short time (without the vet even examining our dog), we were sent home because they were not accepting new patients – emergencies were included in this category and would not be treated. This was Dr. Erdweg's explicit instruction. The clinic did not suggest any alternative practices. After we went to a veterinary practice an hour away, our dog was examined immediately after the vet looked at him, and acute pancreatitis was diagnosed. This required immediate medical attention. I can only indirectly comment on the veterinarian, Dr. Erdweg, but since this was her statement according to the practice team/deputy, I feel that the decisions/instructions of this veterinarian/practice are completely unacceptable for the profession.

A top-notch veterinarian and incredibly friendly assistants. We take our dog there and they've always been very helpful and took plenty of time with us. She focuses not only on the animals but also on the people. A truly wonderful practice.

I've been taking my Maine Coon cats to Dr. Erdweg for some time now and I'm absolutely thrilled. Whether it's for vaccinations or anything else that comes up, she always takes her time, is readily available, and treats my cats with an incredibly loving and calm manner. You can tell how important the animals' well-being is to her and that she always gives her best. I feel my furry friends are in excellent hands there and can wholeheartedly recommend the practice! She's also always happy to help with any questions I have about my horses. 🐴 🐾💙
