Dr. Carola Wach has been my vet for 28 years, she's always been good to my dogs, and she's also affordable compared to a vet in Geiersthal who charged me a fortune for epilepsy. I swear by Dr. Carola Wach in Regen. Sorry, best regards, Petra

I'm absolutely speechless!! I've never experienced such behavior, either personally or as an anesthesia nurse. Our dog had complications during birth, and out of desperation because the first vet on call wasn't answering the phone and our dog's condition was steadily worsening, I searched the internet for "on-call vet near Regen". Her number was displayed on my phone, so I called. During the first call, she said, and I quote, "We'll have to wait and see; I'm not a clairvoyant." I didn't ask for any rude answers, nor did I request a reading with her crystal ball. We were truly desperate. We called veterinarians all over the area but couldn't reach anyone. An acquaintance of ours is a vet, but he was at a seminar, unfortunately not nearby. So I called this vet again because the on-call vet had previously told us we'd have to go to the animal hospital in Regensburg. That particular hospital wasn't staffed; the ones in Munich and Nuremberg would be the closest, but my pet was already very weak. So I thought I'd call again, since the "friendly" vet had only made it clear during the first call that she wasn't a clairvoyant, but hadn't mentioned that she wasn't on call. I called again and was spoken to in such an unfriendly tone that even though I'm very patient and I was initially friendly, but then she became somewhat unfriendly and asked why, as a practicing veterinarian, she didn't know how to deal with families in such a stressful situation, regardless of whether she was on call or not. I didn't realize that her "friendliness" probably wasn't on call either and only available during regular office hours! She said she wasn't on call, and I told her it wasn't my fault she wasn't; if it shows up on Google, I assume she is. She replied that she couldn't help it either, in a very snarky way, but she's definitely responsible for her behavior and the way she expressed herself. We were completely distraught and exhausted. She then suggested we check the newspaper to see who was on call and gave us the name of the colleague who was unavailable. Perhaps she could activate her answering machine when she's not on call, instead of advising families to look in the newspaper during a birth complication. After reading reviews about her reacting aggressively towards animals when they are unsettled, I'm glad she didn't come. A family friend also shared her experience with her, which wasn't exactly pleasant either. We then went to a vet who was incredibly kind and empathetic, saving the lives of our dog and her six puppies, and was also appalled by the behavior. I really should have consulted a psychic beforehand; she could have predicted that I shouldn't call her. I'm usually very calm and patient, rather introverted, but in that situation, I couldn't stay calm while being told to read the newspaper!

I took my cat to the emergency vet on Sunday. The woman was incredibly nice. I was able to go straight in and my cat received excellent care.

A vet with a heart. My dog was very ill last night. No vet answered the phone – not even the one on call. Dr. Wach immediately made time for us, even though she wasn't on duty. She was kind to us and loving towards our dog. She helped us tremendously. I can't express how grateful I am. I also want to add... all this WITHOUT trying to rip us off. At night – on a public holiday – when she wasn't actually on call – she was incredibly friendly and helpful, and truly very experienced, and knew immediately what was wrong. She offered us all this and surely barely made a profit on the price. I will only go there in the future. My dog was treated with the kind of love I've never experienced before. Thank you from the bottom of my heart – Best regards from Goldie Dame Fee
