Reviews
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Theo Schöne and especially to Mr. Lutz Schöne, as well as the entire practice team, who performed my dog's surgery with such empathy, competence, and care. The collaboration between Dr. Theo Schöne and Mr. Lutz Schöne was exceptionally high-quality and professional â it's clear that this is a well-coordinated team working together perfectly. From the initial consultation to the follow-up care, I always felt I was in excellent hands and well-informed. The loving care my dog ââreceived gave me great confidence and demonstrated how much the animals' well-being is truly the priority here. Thanks to their outstanding work, my dog's life was saved, and I am deeply grateful for this caring and professional treatment. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Theo Schöne, Mr. Lutz Schöne, and their team. â€ïž
So far, we're extremely satisfied. We now take all our animals there. They even saved our cat from certain death, and we are incredibly grateful to Dr. Theo Schöne. Our old dog is also in the best hands there. Thank you so much
I'm very grateful that we were able to get an appointment so quickly. However, I'm extremely disappointed with the treatment, especially the way we were treated. We arrived in the examination room in tears with our cat, who has FIV and FeLV. His liver was also under considerable strain because he had lost a significant amount of weight in just two days, and he was already overweight. The first thing we were accused of, without any background information, was that we had waited far too long. We were told to look at how yellow he was (he was already yellow when we were at the other vet's office; in fact, it had improved slightly). Then, without a word, the cat was taken into the next room. When the assistant briefly returned, I asked if we could be present. Only after repeated, explicit inquiries were we told that they had to administer the injection differently due to his circulatory problems. Okay, but that should have been communicated beforehand, not just a wordless dismissal of the cat. We had been to another veterinary practice the previous Friday, where we didn't receive thorough advice about the illness and the next steps. Our cat was released back to us on Saturday with the explanation that his prognosis was very guarded. We were told to return on Monday, but since we were also ripped off there, we went back to our regular vet for further treatment. There, we were accused of being at fault for switching practices again. In consultation and close contact with the vet, we fought for him for a week because he was fighting! Considering his circumstances, he was doing well. Of course, he was in pain and ill, but he was active throughout the day, hungry, eating, and relieving himself. He even occasionally stood at the door and meowed because he wanted to go out (which, of course, we never allowed). We were told that as long as he was eating, he had a chanceâa very, very small one, but it was real, according to the vets and the information we had. We had seen a small improvement every day; yesterday was his best day since the outbreak. Unfortunately, this morning he suddenly vomited a lot of blood, and his condition deteriorated dramatically. We acted IMMEDIATELY without hesitation! To then be treated so insensitively and unempathetically on-site, and to have such a comment made to us, is incredibly painful. My little sister, who was devastated and wanted to talk, was rudely silenced, while the woman wouldn't even let us speak or finish our sentences. Our hearts are broken, and now we're blaming ourselves even though we did everything in our power.
