Back then, I would have given her a full 5 stars. I've been going to Dr. Pfeffer for almost 20 years, whether with a dog or a cat. In every situation, she has helped with empathy, honesty, knowledge, and experience. She was available day and night for her patients and their owners. All her veterinary assistants were and are excellent as well. Unfortunately, I've noticed a certain tension within the team (some are no longer there at all) since the Schwerköttings couple took over. Sadly, I'm seeing Dr. Pfeffer (who has earned her retirement) less and less often. With her, there was no messing around; no matter what my concern, I was taken seriously, and my animal was examined professionally based on my description of the symptoms. This time, I left the practice in the same condition as when I entered... which really upset me. My pet's abdomen wasn't palpated, his mouth wasn't looked in, let alone a thermometer was used... (he's suffered from heartburn for years). Bad breath and eating grass daily were new additions. I was advised to perhaps change the food 20 times and try mixing in some healing clay (as if we hadn't already tried that years ago). To top it all off, we had another appointment scheduled for a different procedure, which the vets then canceled... To portray his own colleague, who has decades of experience (and my complete trust), as more or less incompetent is unacceptable. I'm truly sad to have to find him a new vet, but if they don't trust each other and apparently don't communicate with each other, I have no other choice for my pet's well-being.

I called today about my pregnant cat because I was worried and I don't live nearby. My usual vet is about 70 km away, and I wanted to spare my cat the stress of the long drive. Unfortunately, I was treated very rudely on the phone, and the tone was unpleasant. Especially when you're worried about your pet and looking for help, I would have appreciated a bit more understanding and friendliness. Given the many positive reviews, I was honestly surprised by this experience.

After receiving a completely unexpected diagnosis of prostate cancer for our dog at another veterinary practice, we decided to get a second opinion. We quickly got an appointment and were taken seriously from the very beginning. The waiting room is pleasantly decorated, and the waiting times for appointments were short. At each appointment, time was taken, all questions and concerns were answered competently, and our dog was thoroughly examined. Ultimately, it turned out that the other practice's diagnosis was incorrect and that it was a benign enlargement. We received excellent support throughout the successful treatment. The staff and the animals are treated with respect and warmth. We were happy to make the 120 km drive for each appointment. If we need another evaluation for our little guy, we will definitely come back! Such a qualified veterinary practice is not easy to find.

I am completely satisfied with this practice and feel very well cared for there with my dog. I especially appreciate that the practice offers appointments at short notice and is always easily reachable if I have any questions or problems. This is incredibly reassuring, especially when an animal isn't feeling well. The entire team is consistently friendly, warm, and helpful. They take their time, answer questions clearly, and treat the animals with loving care. Many thanks to the entire team for the excellent care. I can wholeheartedly recommend this practice!
