Dr. Schleicher has a level of empathy I've never encountered in any other veterinarian. She doesn't force-feed animals expensive treatments to keep them alive; instead, she examines them honestly and provides expert advice. In my opinion, she's the best veterinarian in Gummersbach!

Dear Dr. Schleicher's practice team! We have been taking our rabbits, Mandel and Happy, to your practice since September 2026! The initial examination and vaccination were very kind and informative, thanks to the veterinarian and her assistants! The neutering of both rabbits went very well, and we felt very well cared for, even when we called with questions, as they are our first rabbits. Everyone takes their time, and the way they treat both people and animals is very warm and friendly! We are so glad we chose your practice!

We took our puppy there for its first appointment. The staff was friendly, but unfortunately, the visit was disappointing overall. The puppy wasn't properly examined—only after we pointed out certain things ourselves. We explained that it was our first puppy and we had no experience. Therefore, we expected the vet to know what needs to be checked on a young dog. Furthermore, a problem I mentioned was simply dismissed with "it'll go away on its own." Later, it turned out that it wasn't going away on its own and was more serious than we thought. In short: The visit was a waste of time. Of course, everything was itemized on the bill—even the gloves and other supplies. What a waste of time, energy, and money.

I took our rabbit to the practice a few days ago. A big advantage is that the practice mostly works with appointments, which can be made either online or by phone. The vet took her time to give our rabbit a professional examination. She was competent in her treatment, as well as in the information she provided us. In the end, we had to pay almost €75, but I'm happy to pay it for such competent treatment. If anything happens with our animals, I know this small animal practice is the right place to go.

In spring 2025, I took my cat to this practice for a health check. Unfortunately, I was charged twice for the service. Furthermore, my cat received a vaccination that, according to another veterinarian, was unnecessary. I am very disappointed by this and therefore cannot recommend this practice!
