We have been taking our cat to Mr. Lühr for many years. After consulting several other veterinarians in the Gummersbach area, he has proven to be particularly adept at diagnostics. Even in difficult cases, he remained persistent and his assessments were always correct, for example, regarding orthopedic problems or very subtle findings in the eye. Communication is professional and, at times, highly technical, and the practice is efficiently run. Overall, we feel our pet is in very good medical hands there.

We had our little Jeanny (Russian Blue cat) spayed last month. Everything went perfectly, the consultations were reliable, and our cat was well cared for. 5/5 stars. However, during the follow-up appointment, the cat was very roughly and carelessly taken out of the carrier by what appeared to be an intern. I'm now suspicious because I later learned from certain sources that the price range is usually between €160 and €240. We unknowingly paid €317 – €302 for the spaying and €15 for suture removal, even though suture removal is normally part of the aftercare. Oh well, 1/5 stars. Overall, I give it 3/5 stars.

NOT A SINGLE STAR DESERVES!! Due to his misconduct, we had to go to the emergency vet on Saturday and lost our beloved cat. The emergency vet confirmed that he needed an IV; the injections had harmed our young cat so badly. But no, the animals are treated like objects, coldly and like on an assembly line. They said they were afraid something would happen to our cat, and what did he say? "Nonsense, no." We lost not only our cat because of him, but also our rabbits due to unnecessary surgeries. At this vet's office, everyone is considered fat and unhealthy, even though the animals are of normal build. Then they tell us to come back. Despite us saying that he wasn't responding, hadn't eaten or drunk for four days. We were simply dismissed; animals were just objects and brushed aside. This is what they call a vet. A tragedy. I cannot recommend him. This was a serious case of malpractice.

We've been taking our Persian cat to Dr. Lühr for quite some time now, and I can only say: an absolute 10 out of 10 – both the veterinarian and the veterinary assistant. Whether it's for minor issues or major procedures, they can often provide competent help right over the phone. Dr. Lühr takes his time, explains everything clearly, and answers every question thoroughly. You feel taken seriously and receive excellent advice. We'd also like to especially commend the veterinary assistant: she's very friendly, personable, and competent. The waiting times are short, and you can always get an appointment quickly. Animals – even for major procedures like surgery – are in the best possible hands here. We wholeheartedly recommend this team!

The reason for my first visit to the veterinary practice of Ingo Lühr in 2024 was an acute illness of my 16-year-old male Yorkshire Terrier and an initial examination of my 9-year-old female Yorkshire Terrier. When I call, my concerns are taken seriously, and appointments are scheduled promptly. Mr. Lühr and his team are competent, calm, careful, and compassionate in their handling of the animals. The examinations and diagnoses are explained clearly, alternatives and preventative measures are discussed, and questions are answered. They demonstrate competence and experience in various procedures, such as tartar removal, extractions, and treatment of musculoskeletal issues. I feel well cared for and advised at the practice.
