Kleintierpraxis Dr. Schmidtke & Meyer

Last night, we sadly had to take our beloved Golden Retriever, Murphy, for one last car ride. Normally, car journeys were always an adventurous walk for him. Luckily, Dr. Schmidtke was on call. We couldn't have wished for a better veterinarian for this terrible ordeal. She was more than just empathetic. She enabled him to leave this world with dignity and completely pain-free. She remained so calm throughout, and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts! She gave us all the time we needed for this awful decision and for saying goodbye, even though it was so late in the evening/night. I would love to thank her personally, but the situation is still too painful for me right now, and I wouldn't be able to get a word out, so I chose this way. The financial matters were sorted out quite casually, which I really appreciated in my distressed state. Our beloved Murphy was her priority the entire time, not the payment! She is truly passionate about what she does, and that meant so much to us! Despite it being an emergency service, the price was absolutely fair—I was even expecting to pay more. If we adopt another best friend, we would definitely choose Dr. Schmidtke as our future veterinarian. We feel very comfortable here and our worries and concerns are taken seriously. In an emergency, there's always a short-notice appointment available – the team is always kind and patient... and if things get really difficult... dog liverwurst helps... Absolutely recommended!!!

In the most difficult hour I can imagine as a dog owner, Dr. Schmidt and her team greeted us with great warmth and empathy. Our Leo was able to embark on his final journey peacefully, without fear, and in complete tranquility. Thank you for that.
