We've been here several times with our guinea pigs, most recently for a potential respiratory illness. The practice is easily accessible by bus and train. The waiting room is very comfortable and somewhat calming, and all the staff are very friendly. Dr. Wimmer is very gentle with the animals and explains everything in a way that's easy to understand. We also appreciate the advice we get from the vet. Of course, we hope our pets never get sick, but if (!!!) something should happen again, we'll gladly go here and hope our beloved pets continue to receive excellent care.

We adopted a terrier-dachshund mix with some special needs in May 2025. One of his biggest problems is strangers. Veterinary visits, at another practice, were impossible without "special" precautions. We never got into the practice without him trembling and having to be carried in. Despite a muzzle and prior recommended sedation (which I didn't question at first due to my lack of knowledge), a simple check-up, blood draw, or vaccinations required three people. It was pure panic. Unfortunately, this practice didn't offer any "medical training." It was like, "Why build trust if it's just going to be destroyed at the next vaccination?" The effort wouldn't be worth the result. Well, that's one approach, but not the solution for us. Things couldn't continue like this. Since I've known Ms. Wimmer for a long time through our rabbits (where I'm also very happy), we decided to make the longer drive and try a fresh start. Since she also told me she's a canine behavior therapist, my hopes of finding help here grew. What can I say? After just three training sessions/trust-building appointments, we've already made incredible progress. Our dog walks into the practice on his own; he doesn't tremble or try to run away. He goes in willingly, albeit a little skeptically. He even handled his first vaccination without any major problems. Even in everyday life, strangers aren't so scary anymore. For me, switching to Ms. Wimmer was exactly the right thing for our dog. Her calm demeanor and her keen understanding of canine communication are helping him build trust and perhaps eventually completely replace old patterns with new ones. We're looking forward to the next appointments because I'm also much more relaxed when it's time for the vet. â˜ș Many thanks to the entire practice team as well.

For personal reasons, I don't want to go into too much detail - Due to complications with the diagnosis and treatment of our animal at this practice, we had to go to the clinic in Hanover, where we received extensive help. A medication intended to protect against side effects was only given "in passing" during subsequent visits almost two months later. Furthermore, our animal received a combination of medications that was too harmful and should never have been combined in this way. These led to permanent organ damage. Surgery was ordered, after which our animal became much worse. Since visiting this practice, many more symptoms have developed than were resolved. Many symptoms remained untreated and worsened. After these incidents, I decided to go to the clinic in Hanover. Afterwards, our animal had to undergo further surgery at the clinic to correct the errors of the previous surgeries. I simply advise you to go to the clinic in Hanover, because veterinarians in this city are currently failing to fulfill their duties and are more concerned with your wallet. Our animal had to be euthanized due to these complications because it was suffering too much. I think our animal would have had more time if such serious errors hadn't occurred in the first place.
