Our cat Namira just wants to say THANK YOU for the many years of love and compassionate care. Very competent veterinarians with wonderful staff. Namira has a few health issues: a heart defect, arthritis, and occasional eye infections. She has taken a real shine to Dr. Mischke; he's simply wonderful. Her cat parents echo this sentiment. Today was my first time at the Harsefeld Small Animal Clinic. I was referred there by my vet from Bremen. My 13.5-year-old dog needed a heart procedure. I felt very well cared for there. Everyone was friendly. Despite having an appointment, I had expected a longer wait, but it was very quick. Dr. Mischke took plenty of time and explained everything thoroughly. I would definitely take my animals there again. Excellent both professionally and personally!

Our old cat (19) has been showing increasingly pronounced behavioral changes for about two months. She's incontinent, scratches the furniture, and is eating very little. She no longer goes to her old sleeping spots and meows a lot. Occasionally, she seems a bit more energetic. Because of this, I wanted to schedule an appointment to determine what she needs. I was able to get an appointment at short notice and didn't have to wait long at the vet's office – that was very positive. Unfortunately, the actual examination was very stressful for both me and my cat. I wasn't able to clearly explain the fluctuating symptoms and my concern. Instead, I quickly felt like I was being misled, as if I was being pressured into making a hasty decision that didn't align with my intentions. My cat is very prone to stress, which should be evident from her history. Nevertheless, the situation became increasingly tense until she was cornered and reacted only with fear (hissing, scratching). To me, the approach taken was neither de-escalating nor sufficiently adapted to the animal's behavior. Overall, I would have appreciated more attentive listening, a more nuanced response to my description of the situation, and a calmer, less stressful interaction with my cat. We carefully chose to adopt an older cat from the shelter and invested a great deal of time and effort in helping her settle in. In all the decisions we make for her, we want what's best for her. Her well-being is truly important to us, and that's precisely why I didn't feel well-supported in that situation.

I took my rabbit to Dr. Mischke. For the first time, I felt like I was being taken seriously. My rabbit is finally feeling better again, thanks to the quick and competent consultation and treatment! 🙏 Thank you so much!
