I'm very disappointed, unfortunately. I've been there before with my now elderly cat. He had him microchipped, neutered, and even underwent a minor surgery a few years ago. Everything was great! The vet there at the time was super nice, took care of the animal and us, and listened to us. Now I've been back with my cat, who was showing several strange symptoms. However, I ended up with a different doctor, and everything was different. She barely listened to me, focusing only on one of the many symptoms. Apparently, she didn't really read his file and then prescribed something based on suspicion. I questioned this because I found it odd. But she just said, "We'll try it, otherwise we'll come back," with a strong accent. When I asked what indications she had for this and what about the other symptoms, I didn't get a clear answer. "It could be anything, stress, cats are weird sometimes." All in all, it took maybe 10 minutes while I was there. I felt like I was being processed in a mass process! The patient came in, looked at, no questions asked, paid, and left. I asked around and then heard from several others similar descriptions of what had happened to her. It was then clear to me that I would go somewhere else. That was the best decision! Because the symptoms the doctor hadn't addressed were the deciding factor! If I had continued treating him and waited, it would have only gotten worse, perhaps even to the end. At the new practice, it was the exact opposite: I was listened to, the animal was treated well, and everyone was super nice. Oh, and I'm a card payer. For, I'd guess, two years, I haven't been able to pay properly with a card. I had two EC cards, one debit, and two credit cards. Only one of the EC cards worked there. Now that account no longer exists, and I want to pay there. Then they tell me, "Visa isn't working at the moment, they've blocked it, we're working on getting it fixed." 1. Question: For two years? 2nd question: If a visa doesn't work, OK. But why doesn't the EC card work either? Well, I don't feel like I'm in good hands there anymore! I'll be avoiding the practice from now on. But just to be clear: This is my experience and, of course, very subjective. It's entirely possible that there are other doctors there who are better, or that the woman was having a bad dayâI don't know. But for me, it was reason enough to leave. Update: The owner's reaction here confirms my opinion even more! Instead of addressing the criticism, seeking a conversation, and clarifying the matter (perhaps offering a personal consultation), they preferred to look for an excuse and claim a "confusion." Where did I mistake something? The practice I've been going to for 10 years? Well, with the best will in the world, the excuse is too blunt for me.
We got an appointment for our 15-year-old dog very quickly, even though we've just moved here and had never been to the practice before. The very kind vet took plenty of time and treated our old boy with great empathy and expertise. We'll definitely be back, knowing our dogs are in good hands! Thank you! â¤ď¸
The Hagemeyer practice is absolutely fantastic, helpful at all times. Always available. We once had to have a C-section with our dog on Christmas Day, and the team cared for us for several hours, forgoing the celebration. I thank the team for everything; you have my complete trust. đ
I had the practice for my horses and have always been satisfied. My dogs were always treated close to home. I no longer felt comfortable there, and the prices kept getting higher. On Friday, my dog ââwasn't feeling well. I got an appointment right away. The doctor was wonderful and so kind to my giant baby (66 kg). Unfortunately, a diagnosis was initially difficult because the symptoms were unclear. She was given medication and told I could call anytime. She had a free weekend, but that wasn't a problem. On Saturday, it wasn't any better; I went back for another x-ray and more medication to clarify the diagnosis. She called that evening to inquire. I went back on Sunday, and the diagnosis was confirmed because pus had settled. Emergency surgery on Sunday evening. Her colleague came from Hanover, and there was no question about that. The dog is in poor health, and we are helping. Simply fantastic. This is about the animal, not about money like so many others. Keep up the good work â¤ď¸
