Our dog was limping badly. At the vet's office, an X-ray was taken under anesthesia, but it was poorly done and the results were subsequently sent to a clinic. I should have left the practice at that point. Anesthetizing a dog for an X-ray is not normal. My dog ​​was very ill for two whole days after the anesthesia. The cost was around 500 euros. During the recovery phase, they tried for a long time to convince me that my dog ​​had arthritis and needed gold bead implantation in both hind legs. The cost for that was around 2300 euros. Afterwards, I asked why my dog ​​was only limping on one leg, and the vet said he didn't know. We then went to an animal hospital, where a clear cruciate ligament tear was diagnosed. She had surgery and is doing very well again! Follow-up X-rays are taken WITHOUT ANESTHETIC and include a detailed consultation for 90 euros. This practice only wants to sell the gold bead implantation. The vet should have diagnosed the clear cruciate ligament tear.

The gold standard for gold acupuncture! My dog ​​unfortunately became a chronic pain patient at a very young age. She has severe hip dysplasia and spondylosis throughout her spine. Since last summer, it had gotten so bad that even the strongest painkillers couldn't bring about any lasting improvement. Gold acupuncture was the only remaining option, so I started researching the topic. There are countless opinions and interpretations of various studies – from "it doesn't do anything at all" to "it gave the dog several more pain-free years," everything was represented. During my research, one name stood out: Dr. Schulze. Dr. Schulze has been working in this field for decades, has treated thousands of dogs, and documented and published his findings in studies. After everything I had read, I knew he would be the best person to contact in the area. An initial consultation was possible relatively quickly, and even then we realized how incredibly competent both Dr. Bartholome and Dr. Schulze were. Dr. Schulze and Dr. Schulze both took over an hour to examine the dog, conducting orthopedic and neurological assessments and gathering all the necessary background information. The examination itself demonstrated their expertise. We've been to so many veterinarians, including specialists, and none have ever examined my dog ​​so thoroughly and identified the problem areas with such a single touch. During this consultation, they also clearly explained what we could and couldn't expect – gold acupuncture doesn't eliminate arthritic changes, but it can alleviate pain. After this initial appointment, we were absolutely certain that our dog was in the best possible hands, and a few weeks later, we had the appointment for the gold acupuncture. This appointment, too, was extremely well-organized. My dog ​​is very anxious and insecure around vets, and yet it's often impossible to be present until she's sedated during surgery – but not here: My husband was involved almost the entire time – he only waited during the x-rays and the procedure itself, of course. Before the procedure, the x-ray was reviewed together, and they explained exactly what would be done. He was called back in immediately afterward. I can't stress this enough – we've been to so many vets, but we've never experienced such a dedicated and open approach. And the result speaks for itself – our dog had some mild pain when putting weight on her feet for a few weeks, and once that subsided, she walked like she hadn't in maybe three years – she walks smoothly again, no longer makes those typical hopping movements seen in dogs with hip dysplasia, and can run for longer distances. The gold acupuncture gave Lille the opportunity to rebuild her muscle mass in the first place. She can now walk on the underwater treadmill without immediately experiencing another flare-up of inflammation in her spine or hip, and the more muscle she has, the better the support for her skeleton. I am so incredibly grateful that I found this practice and that my dog ​​could be treated there; that I listened to my gut feeling and not to all the "experts" who claim gold acupuncture is ineffective. It may not work for every dog, but my dog ​​was in excruciating pain, and now she's pain-free, and there's no denying that. The procedure isn't cheap, but it's performed by highly competent veterinarians who dedicate a great deal of time to their patients and owners—it was definitely worth every single penny. I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend this practice, especially for patients with chronic pain. From the bottom of my heart: Thank you!!
