Reviews
We were patients of Drs. Kreutzjans, Thurek, and Wilhelmi for many years. We always received excellent care; all the doctors are highly competent, as are the staff. In recent months, we visited more frequently and always discussed the final arrangements. Sadly, on Friday, we had to say goodbye to our Ivi. We were truly apprehensive, but the whole process was handled with great care and empathy, resulting in a dignified farewell, especially for Ivi. Many thanks to Dr. Paries and Dr. Wilhelmi, and to the staff who always manage everything so well! When we get our next dog, we know where we'll always receive excellent care.
The staff at the practice are very friendly and competent. We felt very well cared for there for 10 years. We always got appointments, even when our cat became very ill. During our last visit, Dr. Thurek treated us with loving care and empathy. Saying goodbye to our sweet cat was very dignified and compassionate. Thank you for that 🙏🏼.
For about ten years, my dog and I were patients at the Kreutzjans, Thurek, and Wilhelmi veterinary practice, always under the care of Ms. Thurek. During this time, there were many positive aspects: - well-organized procedures and reliable appointments - friendly and helpful staff - modern, comprehensive equipment - highly recommended physiotherapy - surgeries performed by Ms. Thurek always went well Unfortunately, several issues have arisen in recent years that have significantly impacted my trust. During the 2024 geriatric check-up, a broken molar was overlooked, which I noticed myself on the same day, after the check-up. These things happen! The subsequent surgery went well, but the waiting times for dental procedures are long. During the 2025 check-up, a heart murmur was diagnosed after listening to his heart, and my dog was prescribed additional heart medication – I only received a specific treatment recommendation after asking. In 2026, I discovered that the molar on the other side was also broken. The waiting time for surgery was again about two months. In addition, my dog developed a medical emergency. Since the practice charges even long-standing clients a 30 percent surcharge for emergencies outside of scheduled appointments, I switched practices. I find it unacceptable to charge existing clients additional fees in acute situations. At the new practice, my dog was treated the same day without any surcharge. Before the dental surgery, a cardiac ultrasound was performed as a precaution, since none of the three veterinarians had detected a heart murmur during the initial examination. The ultrasound revealed no heart defect or valve murmur. As a result, my dog has been receiving unnecessary, potentially harmful, and not exactly inexpensive medication since October 2025. There were also significant price differences: The first dental surgery at the KTW practice was almost €450 more expensive, despite the procedure being nearly identical. Overall, I can say that Ms. Thurek's medical care has fallen below my standards over the years. After these experiences, I am very disappointed and unfortunately can no longer recommend the practice.
