Excellent veterinarian. I've been taking my cat there for many years, even when it's really bad, he understands and he can handle it. What will it be like when he retires? Thank you so much, Dr. Leukeld, for still being there for us.

I went there for the first time today and had a bad experience right away. Unfortunately, this vet can't handle either animals or people. Instead of approaching the animal slowly and at eye level, he lunged at the dog the next second and then wondered why the dog wasn't reacting well. It's very bad to go there with anxious animals when dealing with someone like that. And instead of communicating in a normal tone that he can't handle that kind of dog behavior (which is completely understandable), he threw us out in a totally rude manner. Very disappointing.

We've been taking all our animals to Leukefeld for decades. He's the best veterinarian anyone could ask for. He's always there and always knows what to do! He truly cares, and I hope he stays with us for a long time to come!

He's always very attentive and readily available to offer advice and assistance, even outside of official telephone hours. Instead of immediately resorting to pills and the like, he also explores alternatives. What does the animal need right now, and what does the owner need right now? That's exactly the kind of veterinarian we need. It's hard to imagine him ever retiring. The last veterinarian of his kind. Thank you for many years of excellent work with heart and mind.
