Reviews
I usually have my horse treated at this practice and am always extremely satisfied. Today I took my dog there for an emergency, and I'm truly impressed. They took their time with him, I was able to explain the situation, he was examined and petted – it was really great. They also gave me a clear diagnosis, and he's already feeling much better. I'm really happy and would definitely take my dog there again. A very pleasant team of veterinarians, just as I've come to expect.
Because of the cost-sharing arrangement, I joined this veterinary practice to get my mare vaccinated. You'd think, "Anyone can do a vaccination..." Before I knew it, the needle was already in her chest. I should have asked beforehand if and where the regular vet usually vaccinates and if there had been any problems. In fact, they always injected into her neck without complications. This time, the needle punctured the muscle that had completely lame her front leg for two days, leaving her unable to walk at all. Afterwards, she developed extreme swelling that extended all the way down to her fetlock. Today is day 12, and she's still not sound. Aside from the painkillers and tons of Percutin I had to buy, I think injecting into the chest is unacceptable. It doesn't go well for some horses. The pain inflicted on a horse with this is disproportionate, and it's an outrage not to even bother to ask beforehand, but a hefty bill is always acceptable, and the statement: "That's a normal vaccination reaction!!!" is simply outrageous :-(
For many years, our horses have been cared for by the veterinary practice in Nottuln (Meißner/Gäher/Borg) and their wonderful team, and we are very satisfied. Their professional expertise and the empathy with which they carry out both routine examinations and more complex treatments are impressive. We particularly appreciate the calm and friendly manner in which both the animals and we, as their owners, are treated. Thank you for your support over the years!
