Reviews
Dr. Pickhart is always friendly, appointments are always easy to get, and my dog loves her too. No matter what problem we had, Dr. Pickhart always took the time to answer all our questions.
No crowded waiting room where the animals' stress levels are already through the roof. You're expected, and the examination begins immediately, which is conducted with great care and professionalism. Our dog trusted us right away and behaved impeccably. He patiently endured all the examinations without ever becoming impatient. The diagnoses and treatment suggestions were very well explained, with a strong emphasis on natural remedies rather than just prescribing antibiotics. It was a very relaxed and informative vet visit for us as well. Thank you so much! Best regards, Merlin
A doctor who isn't available on holidays or weekends. She doesn't post it or mention it anywhere. Her voicemail goes unanswered for hours.
A veterinarian with a stethoscope and a medicine cabinet. If the animal has something serious and needs an X-ray or something similar, she'll refer you elsewhere. Years ago, she refused to treat my 16-year-old cat because she was too old. The other vet treated her ingrown claw without any problems or anesthesia, but then my mother had the idea to have her fur shaved, at which point the vet insisted on general anesthesia. She never recovered from that.
Rip-off! We were looking for a vet for our cat to care for him until the end. We made an appointment on Friday for the following Tuesday. On Sunday, we went to a different clinic due to an emergency. On Monday at 8 a.m., I tried to reach the vet, and again Tuesday morning to cancel the appointment. Instead of a call back, I received a text message on Tuesday saying she should actually charge for the appointment because it had to be canceled 24 hours in advance. Well, if the lovely vet had answered, that would have been fine. Aside from the fact that it doesn't say anywhere that she charges for missed appointments. Absolutely outrageous! Thankfully, I have the call log. So, beware, everyone!
