Fantastic veterinarian! She explains everything thoroughly and clearly; it's wonderful when someone takes the time to do that. She has great expertise, is always helpful, cheerful, and a real animal lover. She has a lot of empathy for both people and animals and is a true help, even in difficult situations. It's simply stress-free for both pet and owner. The value for money is also outstanding! Not just highly recommended, but exceptional!
I found Dr. Carstanjen to be an exceptionally professional veterinarian. She explains the problems in a way that is easy for the owner to understand and provides objective information about all therapeutic measures (and she can reliably answer price inquiries). She works closely with the owner to find the best solution and is always in the horse's best interest. I have rarely met a veterinarian who shows so much empathy and dedicates so much time to the treatment! In short: A top choice for me and my horse! Excellent value for money!
I used Dr. Carstanjen for my horse's tendon injury (including surgery), rehabilitation program, back problems, fever, vaccinations, general consultation, etc. She seemed competent from a professional standpoint. Unfortunately, several aspects turned out to be very unreliable. Bills were sent that were much higher than agreed upon, and quoted cost estimates were not honored. As soon as money was involved, I saw a different side to this veterinarian and am very disappointed.
After many misdiagnoses and veterinarians who didn't know what was wrong with my gelding and simply dismissed it as "that's just how he walks," I was recommended Prof. Dr. Castanjen. She was the first veterinarian who immediately recognized the problem, took me seriously, and, most importantly, examined him extremely thoroughly. Prof. Dr. Castanjen treated him incredibly thoroughly and effectively, was always helpful, and addressed our individual needs. She's a veterinarian who truly puts a lot of thought into her patients, is very good at what she does, and genuinely cares about them. I'm incredibly grateful!
The vet is great. However, there are problems paying the bill. The billing service she works with is unreachable, and emails go unanswered, so I haven't received any payment information and don't know how to pay the bill. Sincerely 😔
