Hello everyone, My fiancé took our little 10-year-old dog to Dr. Nickolmann's office on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Tammy urinated in the waiting room, and a urine sample was taken. It was immediately discovered that Tammy had a bladder infection, and an X-ray of her bladder was taken right away. The moment the results came back, my world stopped. A large number of bladder stones were discovered in Tammy, necessitating emergency surgery. The little 10-year-old came through the surgery very well. The vet herself was very surprised; none of us expected Tammy to survive the procedure. But my Tammy is a fighter, my little lion! We are so incredibly grateful to Dr. Nickolmann for saving Tammy's life. I just cried my eyes out, and even my fiancé, who is usually as tough as nails, showed his softer side for the first time. I thought it was wonderful; men are allowed to cry too!!! ... We prayed, worried, hoped, and cried for hours. Then, at 4:40 p.m., the relief: "Tammy came through the surgery very well, everything went perfectly." At that moment, the floodgates opened, and we all burst into tears of joy. That evening, the call came: "Tammy would like to be picked up." It was wonderful. After the call, Tammy came wobbly into the consultation room, not quite aware of us yet, but when she smelled me, her joy was immense. Even the vet was delighted by Tammy's happiness. We are so grateful that we have been given another chance with Tammy. Life isn't something to take for granted; cherish every day with your loved ones and your four-legged companions by your side. It really made me realize how little time we actually have. If everything goes according to plan and our little darling recovers well—and she will—we'll be going to the Dutch coast. To feel sand between her paws and the seawater, but not taste it 😅 A huge thank you to Dr. Nickolmann 😭 for saving our Tammy's life. We will be eternally grateful. The practice is small and cozy, and the assistants are incredibly kind. I can honestly say that the practice is simply fantastic; we are very happy there.

My vet for 20 years. I am very grateful. Dr. Nickolmann has always provided excellent care for my animals. My furry friends and I will always stay with her. There is no other vet I would go to. Sometimes the long waiting times are just very tiring.
