Reviews
These 4 stars go to Lena Mues and Dr. Otten... F. Mues is a very calm and competent veterinarian who connects with both animal and owner using her expertise and warm personality, always trying her best and, above all, putting her heart into it. F. Randow is absolutely not recommended. She doesn't listen, becomes unfriendly, performs unnecessary treatments because it was already too late, and then charges for them even though treatment was refused. Unfortunately, with the new merger, the practice is completely overpriced, which is outrageous. I was very satisfied with Dr. Otten and her colleagues for years, but I no longer recommend this practice. My last visit was outrageous and rude. And you're supposed to pay for their misconduct?
I had a very bad experience with this practice. My dog died on December 30, 2025 (she had to be euthanized at the veterinary clinic). This death was completely senseless and could have been avoided. She had diarrhea for 11 days, and apart from Dia-Tabs and Canicur paste, she received nothing else. I took my dog to the clinic three times. Everywhere I looked, I was told that 2-3 days of diarrhea is acceptable with a bland diet, plenty of fluids, and supplements. However, after 11 days, acute treatment was necessary. No treatment was given; they claimed it was a run-down infection and that I should continue with the bland diet. On December 25, 2025, the situation escalated, and my dog became extremely ill and was bleeding from the intestines. The veterinary clinic in Wasbek fought for her for six days. Unfortunately, my dog lost the battle. I would never go to this practice again. I miss my dog so incredibly much and my little world has stopped.
I have rarely experienced such an understanding, empathetic, and loving veterinarian as Dr. Alexandra Kruse. My dog is very sensitive and, due to some truly traumatic experiences, is terrified of strangers, unfamiliar situations, and external stimuli. Trusting others is extremely difficult for her—she trusts me unconditionally as her primary caregiver, but beyond that, every interaction is a challenge. I learned about this practice from a friend who had also switched to this practice with a "problem dog" and finally found the support she needed. Since I had also recently moved nearby, and we had unfortunately had repeated experiences with our previous veterinarian where we weren't taken seriously and were treated more like "processed" than truly cared for, it was clear to us that we wanted to change. I had a good feeling from the very first phone call—and this feeling was absolutely confirmed at every subsequent appointment. From the beginning, we were taken seriously, treated with respect, and, most importantly, seen as a team with our dog. Dr. Kruse works incredibly calmly and thoughtfully, with an exceptional feel for the animal. She takes her time, observes carefully, and clearly prioritizes the animal's well-being – something I've unfortunately experienced far too rarely in veterinary medicine. Even if the practice were more expensive (which I personally can't confirm), I would choose her again without hesitation. For me, this kind of empathy, understanding, and professional competence is invaluable. An absolute heartfelt recommendation – especially for owners of sensitive or challenging animals.
I visited the veterinary practice today with my cat for the first time and was very pleased! All the staff were friendly, and the practice made a modern impression right from the moment we walked in. My cat and I felt very well cared for, and I can only say that we'll gladly come back again! I also really appreciated that there were separate waiting rooms for the animals! Best regards, Katharina with Pomm
