Reviews
I took my German Shepherd, Aslan, to the emergency clinic because he was losing a lot of blood when defecating. We had about an hour's wait, which was perfectly fine considering how busy it was and that there were other urgent cases that naturally took priority. The treatment itself went smoothly, and all the tests were discussed with me beforehand. He received medication to stop the bleeding, which worked well initially. A few days later, we were back because his condition had worsened. Again, I received excellent advice on what was needed, and asking about the price of every medication or treatment was absolutely no problem! The vet always made sure the price was reasonable. We got special dog food, and lo and behold, Aslan is doing great again. He's gaining weight after losing almost 5 kg due to illness. We are extremely satisfied and will definitely come back. A wonderful team. Even my dog being a constant barker wasn't a problem; we were simply allowed to sit separately. I am very happy.
I'm always very satisfied here; you get clear information, and everything is handled in a very humane way. Everyone here is lovingly attentive to the animals, in my case, a 7-month-old French Bulldog. Today we were at Dr. Schneider's again, and it doesn't matter who you see, whether it's Dr. Seelack or Dr. Rummel... they're all incredibly nice, and there's no rush, no matter how full the waiting room is. It's definitely not an "assembly line" situation. And yes, the prices aren't exactly cheap, but where is anything cheap these days? You can't expect them to cut corners when it comes to living beings, our animals. Furthermore, I'm now here with my third bulldog girl, and I've never once felt like they were just trying to make money or trying to sell me something expensive (and I've been here many times). Quite the opposite, in fact. I've sometimes brought up things I'd read about online, like the expensive blood test for allergies my second bulldog girl had, and they even advised against it. They started with the basics, and it actually helped. The way Dr. Seelack and Dr. Rummel accompanied my two beloved bulldogs on their final journey was compassionate and incredibly humane. That's why I still come here with my third little girl. Many thanks to the entire clinic team.
Tip for all pet owners considering this clinic: Take two minutes beforehand and filter the reviews by "Lowest first." Read what's written there. And pay attention to how the owner responds to critical reviews. A good overall rating can be misleading. In an emergency, you don't have time to research. Those two minutes beforehand can make all the difference. My personal experience is based on an observation that led to this review, and I definitely want to stand by it.
Unfortunately, we've had enough bad experiences with some veterinarians. As an emergency case with a patient in pain, we were sometimes simply turned away with the words, "Come back this afternoon." Or appointments were scheduled, and then no one was there – due to vacation, etc. So we took our dachshund, Fiene, to Dr. Rummel's clinic – and we are very grateful for that decision. We were treated at the clinic with Fiene and are more than satisfied. When she was very ill and in severe pain, we received immediate help. Fiene was also admitted as an inpatient for pain management. The doctors, nurses, and the entire team were always friendly, empathetic, and took wonderful care of our dog. We especially appreciated that we received daily phone calls to keep us informed about Fiene's condition and the progress of her treatment. We also have nothing negative to say about the emergency veterinary service. We always received friendly advice, could drop by anytime, and there was always a doctor and a nurse on site. Our dog received immediate care and loving attention every time. We had everything tested and examined so that we could finally find out what was wrong with our dog. Dr. Rummel worked diligently to ensure Fiene received the help she needed and eventually referred us to his colleague in Waren for a CT scan. There, a severe herniated disc in her cervical spine was diagnosed and surgically removed. Further aftercare and physiotherapy treatment then took place at Dr. Rummel's clinic. Today we went for her final check-up – and we are simply overjoyed and grateful. Our dog is doing well again, she is pain-free, and can walk again. We are deeply grateful to the entire team at the veterinary clinic for their loving, attentive, and outstanding professional care. Even though we have a long journey, we are always happy to make it because we know: Our dog is in the best hands with Dr. Rummel and his team. We are certain: We will continue to be treated by Dr. Rummel with complete confidence.
We've been regular patients at the veterinary clinic for years. Our Suzi, in particular, is a frequent visitor (she suffers from arthritis and spondylosis). Our biggest thanks go to Dr. Rummel and Dr. Schneider, who always take our problems, big and small, seriously, offer expert advice, and somehow always manage to find a solution. 🙂 Thank you for everything! ❤️
