Tierärztliche Praxis Dr. Sabel

Since the start of the pandemic, I've been seeing Dr. Sabel, who performed the urgently needed dental x-rays and subsequent tooth extraction on my British Longhair, Fieby, for another veterinarian. From the very beginning, and for several years now, he, his assistant, and his son have completely impressed me with their expertise, empathy, helpfulness, and punctuality. They don't just treat symptoms according to a standard procedure; they investigate the underlying causes. I greatly appreciate his open and sometimes critical approach – it's all part of the job to make it clear to owners what needs to be done, what might have gone wrong, and what they need to do for the well-being of their animal! Perhaps some people aren't used to this, but it's about our animals, not personal sensitivities; otherwise, I can't explain the negative reviews. Just yesterday, my little British Shorthair, Cindy, was spayed by him. All the procedures he performed went perfectly! Even in difficult situations, you can rely on Dr. Sabel. Dr. Sabel was invaluable when my Jeanny sadly had to be euthanized a year ago due to a heart tumor. From the difficult diagnosis – which involved collaboration with the Asterlagen Veterinary Clinic – through the time spent ensuring her quality of life, right up to the final decision to euthanize her, Dr. Sabel was always by my side. I have rarely experienced such dedication!

In my opinion, Dr. Sabel is the best veterinarian I have ever visited. I absolutely cannot understand some of the truly outrageous reviews. I'm certain that if I hadn't taken my wire-haired dachshund, Willi, to Dr. Sabel a year ago while our previous vet was on vacation, he wouldn't be here today. Since we started going to this practice, Willi is a completely different dog—he finally has a better quality of life. Dr. Sabel treats the animals with respect and doesn't beat around the bush—which I greatly appreciate! He has completely rehabilitated Willi. He is available in emergencies and even calls his patients on his days off to check on them—whether they've had a procedure or a medication change. You NEVER feel alone! I would never go to another veterinarian and am incredibly grateful that we are his patients. I only wish we had chosen him sooner. 😊🙏

I can't understand the many negative reviews that are now appearing. Dr. Sabel has been treating our dog Tobi for almost 14 years now, and I have absolutely nothing negative to report. He is very empathetic and has put many of my worries at ease. He also knows how to handle Tobi very well. Tobi is a fearful dog and yelps at the mere sight of a needle, but Dr. Sabel is always calm and collected in his interactions with him. He has never used force against our dog. No incorrect diagnoses have been made, and all surgeries (testicular tumor, eye treatment, tartar removal) were performed without complications. Dr. Sabel is always available to answer questions and discusses Tobi's treatment with us, and we feel understood and very well advised.
