My dog ​​has been a patient at the Erle veterinary practice for 12 years. The practice is bright and decorated with very tall houseplants. The veterinarian, Dr. Frauenholz, is a very competent doctor. The calm she exudes during examinations puts both the animal and its owner at ease. So far, we've always been able to manage everything well. Our cat has recently become a patient there as well. When the animal is healthy, the owner is happy. We would like to thank the entire team. An absolutely disappointing experience. I simply wanted to schedule an appointment for a blood test before my dog's spaying. Even on the phone, I was repeatedly cut off with the explanation that other calls were more important. Each time, I had to explain the entire situation again. The communication seemed completely disorganized. No one could tell me which blood values ​​were even needed before anesthesia or what the costs would be. Instead of clear information, I received a call back from the veterinarian herself that evening. From that moment on, the conversation became very unpleasant. Instead of focusing on the requested examination, I was questioned extensively about personal decisions: why the surgery was to take place in Poland, why the spaying was planned before her first heat, and why I had chosen this option. I explained that a veterinarian friend in Poland would be performing the procedure. The moment Poland was mentioned, I felt the tone of the conversation completely changed. From that moment on, I felt the tone of the conversation shifted completely. I felt uncomfortable and, frankly, discriminated against because I chose to have my pet treated in my home country. Instead of receiving neutral medical advice, I was repeatedly told that everything about it was supposedly wrong. I was even told that clinics that perform spaying before a cat's first heat cycle are "doing it wrong" and that such a procedure is supposedly unacceptable. Although I repeatedly emphasized that I only wanted a blood test, this was ultimately refused altogether. I find this behavior unprofessional, patronizing, and disrespectful to the client. Personal opinions should not be more important than providing objective medical care. This is definitely not a practice where I feel my pet is in good hands.
