Jasmin Kern is a very experienced and competent veterinarian who takes plenty of time for her patients (and their owners). She conducts thorough examinations, asks specific questions about the patient and its behavior, provides comprehensive advice, and can explain complex issues clearly. For rare conditions, such as when our old miniature Shetland pony mare developed a goiter, she delves deeply into specialist literature but would also have been willing to refer us to a specialist if necessary. At my urgent request, JK agreed to treat the same Shetland pony mare's chronic laminitis at appropriate intervals. Since then, her hooves have improved significantly, which was documented with the portable X-ray machine that is part of Jasmin Kern's excellent equipment. JK is also highly knowledgeable and well-equipped in dentistry. She has special tools for our animal's tiny mouth – we greatly appreciate that she continues to provide dental care for us as long-time clients. Hygiene is of utmost importance to her. All necessary instruments are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each use, thus preventing the transmission of pathogens to other patients. Appointments are scheduled according to urgency. Planned treatments, such as hoof trimming, are available within a few weeks. Blood tests and examinations are performed within a few days, while emergencies are seen immediately (in our experience, within a maximum of 1-2 hours). Treatment costs are reasonable and fair. We are more than satisfied with Jasmin Kern. An excellent veterinarian whom we highly recommend.
