It was my first time there for a general checkup for my cat – everything went wonderfully. I think the vet examined her thoroughly and checked everything necessary. He also handled her gently (I don't say gently, because she resisted, but he was more like he was aggressive when necessary). I'm confident that my cat will be in good hands with him in the future.
Mr. Messner is very nice, but unfortunately, he misdiagnosed my dog. He said the lump on his skin was definitely not a tumor. Two weeks later, another veterinarian performed a lab examination of the tissue and found a malignant mast cell tumor, which should be removed immediately. He also gave my dog a vaccination and said it was valid for one year, which he also noted on his passport. The other veterinarian has now informed me that the vaccination needs to be boostered after one month, as it is a first dose.
I've been going to Dr. Messner since my first dog, which is 35 years now. He's an excellent diagnostician who doesn't do anything unnecessary, but always acts in the animal's best interest. He no longer offers all services, such as x-rays, but he doesn't need to. For me, he's the best veterinarian there is.
In short: Highly competent professionally and loving towards both animals and people!
