In 2017, Dr. Matthias, who we have been customers of since 2012, saved the life of one of our 2 Corgies in a cancer operation when she was 6 years old. Today she is over 13 years old. About 10 months ago, now living in Spain, we discovered a tumor of the glandula saliva in our other 10-year-old Corgie. After we were unable to find an expert in Spain for the difficult operation, we decided to drive the 2500 km to Tyrol to have Matthias operate on her. The operation went excellently, but the recovery over the next 2 weeks was full of complications. Matthias and his team were able to solve every problem and Valki is now in excellent health and enjoying her life in Spain. Thank you Matthias, Federike, Lukas and team.
I had an emergency with my cat who tried to eat a needle. Very friendly woman on the phone listened to me nearly crying and found time in the schedule to take us the same evening. Dr. Seewald did a great job getting the needle out of my cats throat without cutting him open 🙏🏻 It also was nice to see the X-rays right away and to be let inside the room to my pet while he was recovering after the anesthesia while talking to the doctor about the situation, further treatment and his experience with big cats :) Great clinic, professional veterinarian and nice team, thank you so much!
My cat had big problems with her skin on the belly, she was leaking it till blood, removing lots of hair for about 2 years. I visited 5 different vets in Tirol but nobody could understand what is happening, I even called a cat’s psychologist. Every vet saw that the tip of 1 tooth is broken. When I came to Dr. Seewald he told me that animals can live with the pain without showing us where the pain comes from and he explained how important each tooth is. The removal of the tooth is much cheaper but it will reflect on all teeth of the animal. Dr. Seewald did the treatment of my cat’s dental channel. Nothing else changed in her life. But very soon she stopped damaging her skin. Now it’s all ok. Thank you, Dr. Seewald!
I was referred to Dr. Seewald by a friend after receiving news from my regular veterinarian. My seven-year-old cattle dog had been diagnosed with a torn ligament that I hadn’t been aware of. The injury had already caused extensive arthritis in his knee, and I was told it was inoperable. The recommendation was to limit his exercise to just 30 minutes, three times a day, an incredibly difficult prospect for a dog used to two-hour daily walks and weekend hikes of up to 5–6 hours. Additionally, the vet suggested monthly injections to block pain transmitters. I was heartbroken. Seeking another opinion, I consulted Dr. Seewald. I didn’t share the previous diagnosis, only provided the x-rays. After reviewing them, Dr. Seewald immediately said my dog was a perfect candidate for TPLO surgery. He explained that while the arthritis would remain, the surgery would provide stability in the knee and help slow further arthritic development, giving my dog a much better quality of life and the chance to be active again. I am very impressed with the TPLO surgery and the remarkably quick recovery time. When I brought him in at 7:45 AM, I was told he’d be ready between 10:30 and 11. I expected a long day and a groggy dog, but to my surprise, he was already sitting up, alert, and ready to go home. His clear state so soon after surgery spoke volumes about Dr. Seewald’s skilled use of anaesthesia and overall surgical care. The incision was only about 7 cm long, located on the inside of his leg with dissolvable internal stitches, which reduced irritation and eliminated the need for a follow-up to remove sutures. Just four hours after surgery, he walked himself out to the car. Now, three months later, after a slow and steady rehabilitation, we’re back to walking about 1.5 hours a day and gradually increasing. He shows no signs of pain and we are so happy to be active again. I’m incredibly grateful to Dr. Seewald and his team for offering not just hope, but an exceptionally skilled, thoughtful approach to healing. Thanks to them, my dog is out and about and enjoying what he loves most.
My wife and I are from California, and currently live in Spain. We took a trip in our car with our dog, Lola, to escape the summer heat in Spain and found ourselves here in Innsbruck. Unfortunately, the Airbnb where we are has metal stairs with holes in them for the snow. These stairs grabbed onto our dog's claw and ripped it off as she descended the stairs last week. In addition, she has had a problem with one of her anul glands. Both her paw and her ass got infected. Before the incident with the paw, we were in Bormio, Italy, where we took her to the vet, but a week later, same problem back there. We called vets around Innsbruck and these guys spoke English and took us within 24 hours. Lukas (I believe that was his name), an associate of the owner, took great care of our Lola. She was anesthetized, and he did a spontaneous surgery on both her paw and her... backside. All at a cost that was maybe 10% of what we would have paid for the same in California. And now, 24 hours later, she is starting to walk normally again, and her ass... yeah, better. We were very happy to have Lukas attend to our fur baby. He was/is kind, helpful, and obviously had the comfort of Lola in mind with every decision he made. Thank you, Lukas, and thank you Dr. Seewald for bringing him to Innsbruck. Best, Jason Luban and Selena Medlen Ronda, Málaga, Spain via California
