Reviews
We went to various veterinarians for almost three years without success. After just one examination, it was clear why: Harley is immune to almost all antibiotics. Thank you.
The biggest—no, the absolute biggest—disappointment of my life, in terms of veterinary experience, of course, was this practice. For years, I trusted the vet! I've already had to let one dog go. But now I've had an experience I'll never forget. For months, I took my almost two-year-old Sheltie to the practice because something wasn't right with him. It started with diarrhea. Okay, I was told it was going around among the dogs at the moment. Injection and pills. After things calmed down a bit, he had trouble eating and consequently lost about 3 kg. I think that's a lot for such a small dog. We also had an eye infection, although the diagnosis for that was also uncertain! But his main problem was the dog's overall condition. Back to the practice because of further weight loss. Another kilo less every week! So, what do you do in a case like that...? An injection to stimulate his appetite, but it would take a while before he would eat again! As a vet, you should have been able to see and smell what was wrong with the dog. I tried absolutely everything to get my angel to eat, even cooked special meals for him. It seemed like he was disgusted. His entire demeanor was abnormal. So I took him to a different vet. Just from what I told her, she was immediately alarmed! Blood tests, urine tests, and an ultrasound were all immediately on the agenda! And then came what I never would have suspected in my entire life: I received a devastating diagnosis. My baby was terminally ill. The tests revealed the following finding: "End-stage chronic kidney failure!" And so, full of hope, I went to a new vet—unfortunately, too late—and had to go home alone. My beloved Mailow, at 1 year, 10 months, and 4 weeks old, was released from his suffering on February 13, 2026. And this happened about a week after I had been to Dr. Lotz's practice!
Worst vet ever!!! He didn't recognize kidney failure in an animal!!! Which is easily detectable with a blood test and ultrasound.
