Reviews
The only emergency vet on weekends, I sent an email, and shortly after, I was contacted via WhatsApp. Then came the appointment – my dog was bitten yesterday evening, below his right eye. Dr. Bungartz received my German Shepherd (almost 9 months old) very calmly, examined the wound, and explained the procedure. He received contrast dye in his eye to check for corneal damage, then two injections, and treats in between. Everything was handled very calmly and with a high degree of professionalism and competence. I felt my German Shepherd was in very good hands and am grateful for the prompt assistance. I would gladly recommend Dr. Bungartz's practice.
We were immediately taken seriously and treated with incredible competence and empathy. The veterinarian explained everything clearly, and the treatment worked immediately. You can tell that the animals' well-being is their top priority. In a stressful situation like this, you feel you're in the best possible hands.
We were on vacation there with our two dogs. Our Bernese Mountain Dog was really unwell, so we went to the practice without an appointment or prior arrangement. We arrived shortly after for an examination, and he was diagnosed with gastric torsion and successfully operated on immediately. We can wholeheartedly recommend this practice. If we didn't live so far away, this would be our go-to practice for our animals in the future. Thank you again so much for the excellent treatment; we highly recommend this practice.
I am extremely satisfied with this veterinarian. He is not only highly competent, but—more importantly—we were able to come in immediately and received prompt assistance. After all, things inevitably go wrong on the weekend—situations where you simply know, "This can't wait," and you just don't want to wait until after the weekend. Thank you again. Sincerely, Lucinda Ramaekers
During our holiday in Stadkyll, we urgently contacted Dr. Bungartz because our dog ate the contents of his food bucket in an unguarded moment and we were worried about a gastric torsion. It was Saturday evening at 10 minutes to midnight, and after a phone call, we were able to come immediately. We were received very kindly and treated very professionally. We were reassured, and after consultation, an X-ray of the stomach was taken to rule things out. Fortunately, no gastric torsion. Our dog was given medication to help him vomit up his stomach slowly and relieve the tension. After receiving an anticoagulant to combat the nausea, we drove back to our holiday address. We were there for almost two hours, on the weekend and in the middle of the night, to have an X-ray taken and administer medication. We were already worried about a hefty bill, but compared to what we are used to in the Netherlands, it wasn't too bad at all. Thank you very much, Dr. Bungartz, and Borre is doing well again.
