We are very satisfied with the practice. Everyone is very friendly and competent, no matter what the issue. The animals are always well cared for, and everything is well explained and advised. I can only recommend this practice.

We've always come for vaccinations with our dog and cat, so we can't complain. As soon as something else happens and it gets serious, I can't recommend this doctor!! In March, our dog (a Samoyed) tore his cruciate ligament. We went to Dr. Schulz, who said there was no surgeon in Marburg and the surrounding area who could operate on it. Months later, we learned that this was a lie. There are several in Marburg and the surrounding area who do it, but he just wanted us to have it done by his friend in Kassel. Of course, we could have done more research ourselves, but in such a stressful situation, we trusted the doctor and operated on him a few days later at his friend's. He didn't tell us anything after the operation, how long the dog should rest or when we should start walking again, and there's no information. Weeks go by, and there's virtually no improvement. The leg cracks when walking, and for some reason, the dog had circular wounds on its stomach, which had nothing to do with the cruciate ligament tear. So we go back to him to get everything checked out. He couldn't explain the cracking sound; he just said we should just see how it develops, even though it should have been better by then. He wasn't interested in the wounds on his stomach either. So we went home with more questions and concerns. Shortly afterward, we went to physical therapy (4 months after the surgery). The therapist immediately told us that the surgical method used was outdated and actually only intended for small dogs. We did some exercises for a short time, but she quickly said it looked rather bad and recommended surgery, where we should have everything checked out. The condition of the leg worsened, and during the surgery in Pohlheim, it quickly became clear that our dog would definitely need another operation. With the surgical method used by Dr. Schulz, it would have been clear from the start that it would have torn again sooner or later, which unfortunately happened. Our poor dog had her second surgery today. We had to pay an incredible amount of money, and the worst part is that she was in pain for six months. The surgery in Pohlheim even gave us information about when we should start exercising again, etc., unlike Dr. Schulz. It was immediately apparent that they truly care and aren't just in it for the money. All of this was completely avoidable and unprofessional. I recommend that anyone with serious problems never go to this practice. The only thing they care about is making as much money as possible from every procedure!!!

We met Dr. Schulz at a vaccination appointment and were very pleased. His examination was very thorough, and he was affectionate and humorous with the cats. He explained many things to us that we should be aware of and took his time with our two cats and us. During our first visit to the practice for the initial examination, his colleague was just as friendly and competent as Dr. Schulz. The veterinary assistants are also friendly and helpful. We can wholeheartedly recommend this practice and will definitely go there again for our next vet visit.

The veterinary practice is fantastic—I can recommend it 10000%! The vet, as well as the ladies at the reception, are so helpful and take such good care of the animals! You feel truly in good hands; even with the smallest concerns, you'll find a listening ear and very quick help. Unfortunately, my cat isn't the nicest patient, but the vet manages to get along with her calm, confident, and caring approach, and that's saying something! Top-notch—I'm happy to entrust my four-legged friends here ♥️

I was there today for the first and last time with my dog. My dog isn't anxious. He always enjoys being around people and has never caused any problems at the vet. He's used to having his temperature taken and receiving injections. I was disappointed today with how dogs who pick up a scent are treated. I always arrive early for appointments so my pet can get used to the new environment, and the initial greeting wasn't a problem. However, when it was time for the examination, my dog became suspicious. He kept turning away from the vet and seemed uncomfortable. They were supposed to take his temperature. I find the approach of simply forcing an animal to restrain it instead of first showing it what was going to happen very questionable. They should have handled it completely differently. When that didn't work, they wanted to proceed directly to the injection. Naturally, this ended in a minor disaster when they wouldn't even allow the other examinations. I don't understand how they make absolutely no effort to positively communicate to the animal what the vet intends to do. And then, as the owner, I was practically forced to accept that the animal had to obey commands and that I should hold it securely. If they can't even get my dog to trust them when they take his temperature, why would giving him an injection be any different? They could have simply familiarized him with the equipment first. They could have gently palpated him, reinforced his trust, and not crept up on him. I'm shocked at how little help I felt I received. The multiple injections were administered even though my dog wouldn't stay still, and how little effort was made in the end to rebuild his trust. He is the first and last vet my dog will ever have to endure this with. And no, my dog doesn't bite and doesn't have a questionable temperament. I would question the treatment methods used, how one should handle such animals, and how to avoid escalating the situation. And then to try and sell me on special food and downplay my need for a bland diet is beyond me.
